Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

Fair enough for those who want to participate, although I'm all for keeping Fev I won't, because of that "club is bigger than the individual" etc

Also, think CP has coped a bit of unfair treatment for opening this thread, don't often agree with CP, but all he's done is report what's already out there and letting people know who might want to be interested.

Also, just passed Visy Park and there were 4 protesters out the front in support of Fev.

What I couldn't work out is that as I walked down a lane by the park in my work suit, and there was no way they would've known who i barrack for etc, they started abusing me as i walked passed them because I wasn't stopping, telling me to f*ck off etc.

Found that a little odd

Must have thought you were on the board or something. After all you were in your suit etc. :D

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

I will be officially embarassed if this goes ahead. Wake up to yourselves people. The CFC is bigger than Fev and any of you who go and protest. Just ride out trade week and see what happens before you all make fools of yourselves and our club.

I'm so embarassed:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

Anyone who turns up to Visy Park and protests is bascially condoning what Fevola did at the Brownlow, which was an absolute disgrace. He has had that many chances to pull his head in and act like the majority of the population out there, but he just doesn't get it. Time to cut our losses, wipe the slate clean, get as good a trade as we can, and move on.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

I dont agree with the protest or ripping up memberships, I laughed at people ringing up radio stations in perth when benny cousins was sacked and that they have given back their memberships and will now follow richmond bcause benny is playing there. The club is bigger than a individual.

I want fev to stay but if the club can get a good trade for him then so be it, if they cant then dont accept anything less.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

That's just crap.

I remember him playing in the seconds and acting and looking like he couldn't give a ****(that year he was rumoured to be up for trade too).

And on more than a few occasions in the seniors he's looked the very same.

Fevola is all about Fevola.

Sure he may be a ******** sometimes, but I still believe he bleeds for the club...There's a lot of good off-field things he does that go unnoticed by the general public.

Agree to disagree I guess.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

Just found out on Facebook, although it's not yet confirmed whether it's Saturday or Sunday .. The organisers can't seem to make their minds up yet :Dhttp://www.bigfooty.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=15903778

I think as many of us who are pissed at the club for trading away Fev without any in-depth consultation is a slap in the face for all fans and members, and even though the protest probably won't achieve anything, perhaps more bad publicity and news for the club, I think the way they have handled this saga has been most unprofessional and pathetic how they have left Fev out to dry ...

The more members/fans we can get to this protest, the better :)

Anyone who puts aiming for premierships and loyalty to a great and loyal club champion, before 'morals' or 'public perception' of the club should go to this protest ...

Didnt they ring you C_P? Obviously they dont hold you in the high esteem BF posters do.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

Seems like some of you go for Fevola rather then the Carlton Football Club. There should be a protest if he doesn't get traded.

Having a look at the confirmed attendees to this "rally", looks like it's gonna be fully sick bro!

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

This is not a troll but...

Getting rid of this idiot is the best thing ever to happen to your club.. Fair enough he may kick a few goals for you in the next few years but the long term damage this guy causes to the club with his behaviour is devastating. Not only have Chris Judd, the other players and the CFC had enough but they finally have the balls to do something about it. If they didn't then this would set the tone for behaviour at the club and the new culture the CFC are trying to create would go down the drain all because of a moron with the IQ of a child..

I don't think some of you Blues fans appreciate how detrimental this guy is to your club. I don't blame Carlton for paying other clubs to take him

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

this ups the ante on the hawthorn boards open letters.

this season is over. you may need to buy a membership for next year and rip that up if you're true to the cause.

As evidenced by us going from 4 wins in 2007 to 13 wins in 2009, and beating the Dogs , Cats and Pies. Clearly we are going backwards with him.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

I couldn't give a shit what the control freaks on this board think, I reserve to right to protest this move in a peaceful and democratic manner ..

If you feel so 'outraged' by the protest, why don't you stage your own anti-protest, protest outside Visy Park ??? :D

Are we allowed to hurl water balloons for fun? :D

Fev didn't kick a goal against Collingwood.

We won more games and made the finals with Fev kicking fewer goals than he did in 2008.

Funny that...

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

Oh no......I've organised a "pro-trade" rally for the same time.....

.....any chance we can have an amicable discussion.

Found that a little odd - and am only raising this because if you do show public support for Fev, do it for his benefit, last thing Fev needs is a bunch of idiots attempting to show support for Fev while abusing pedestrians in the process.

Remember the MUA dispute 11 years ago? Very successful picketing. Why? Because they were professional about it
They obviously thought you were a Collingwood supporter returning from court . :D
