it seems that the 2nd round pick is actually more important then the 1st round....considering how good the top 30 will be...Most 'experts' are saying that the top 25-30 are good but it falls away rapidly after that.

Nah ReallyIf this does not occur, ban me. Very reliable source ...
Ayce Cordy to the Bulldogs at Pick 14
Clarke at 2003cms is too tall for AFL. The umpires can't bounce the ball that high.
Ok-this is whats going on straight from the mouth of a recently sacked recruiting person.
1.Nat-is a bad risk if he leaves Perth so no one will touch him except WA clubs.
2.Watts to Melb 100%
3.Hill will not go top 10 its all bluff
4.Charlie Sharples is being talked up by everyone and will be the smokey
5.Tom Swift doctors report came back fantastic and could go 5-10
6.Sam Wright is the forgotton player in this draft and will be a steal
7.Suban is Sydneys 1 choice
8.Ashley Smith will go early doing a sweeping job across halfback Collingwood
9.Never take backman early in the draft(Ask Essendon & Richmond)
10.Ziebell is the safe bet in this draft
11.Matthew Deboer will be the best tager in the next 10 years
12.Sam Blease-is a clone of current Nth Melb player great pick up
13.Bulldogs want Sharples and Post
14.Beams is the Selwwod of this draft
15.Zach Clark is the best value Ruckman in this draft 2003cm and growing
16.Good luck in the draft and like Christmas hope you get what you need.

Urquart?
James Ulbrick of Xavier College has apparently kicked big time in the past few days.
Has had meetings with recruiters from 3 clubs over the past few days, who are obviously interested in the 197cm ruckman.
Could this be the biggest surprise packet of the draft? Kid has a lot of athletic ability and was an absolute superstar for Xavier this year so IMO he might just get lucky. Hope the dons pick him up with our first round pick personally.
thankyou mr ulbrick
If we don't take Watts I will kill someone. Probably our recruiters.
I rate Naita but we are crying out for a KP forward.
Your crying out for everything. Including marketability, which Naita will provide in bundles.

Would no surprise me, I even reckon he could go to us at 29Deboer to Collingwood a MASSIVE possibility if he is there at their third round.. Hine LOVED him last year and tried everything to get him to nominate and would be happy to use pick 45 or 46 on him because all the things he saw in Deboer haven't disappeared. Personally I think he is harshly judged on big footy and won't last, though if Hine and co. think he might be still around maybe some of the other clubs think so too and won't bite much higher.
I know that this is a huge call, but I think i can confidently call this the biggest misconception on BF. Surely the best player is the most marketable? Are Brown, Riewoldt or Pavlich not the marketting faces of the respective clubs?
Also to add weight to this, Watts is a very confident young man and speaks very well when interviewed. Naitanui not so much, he's quite shy and seems pretty nervous when interviewed. I know that this could change, but some introverted people remain very private as AFL footballers.
If Naitanui takes a few years to improve his awareness & skills to get up to AFL standard, what marketing value does he have if he's playing in the VFL?
He is staying in Melbourne next year regardless of where he is drafted, same as Dangerfield/Ball/Ellis & the kid from the swans.I wonder where Watts will go to school if he becomes and Eagle...
And how he'll cope being a year older than everyone.
