Still not sure, so I can't really help you mate. I have asked Patrick Keane on twitter, unfortunately he is yet to respond.

Apparently you can book club members and AFL members with club support in the same booking as friends have done so in the past, but that's as close to confirmation as I can get at this stage. So I think you should be fine on that front.

Fortunately I won't need to rely on that any more as we're allowed 3 additional tickets per Carlton membership. Doesn't look like I'll need to use my AFL membership at this stage.

If you're set on sitting in a group you can always skip the membership on-sales and go GA. No way known is this game going to be close to a sell-out, there'll be plenty of GA seats available.
