F----N scalpers asking for up to 1k for a single standing room ticket!

To those who dont have tickets and are considering paying off these scabs I urge you to wait! People that genuinely have an extra ticket will take face value, and the DH scalpers asking for 1k now that still have a ticket come friday/saturday for being greedy aholes will suddenly just want to get their money back.

Long time viewer first time poster. Ive been a Hawk member for life (was signed up the day i was born) Unfortunately I was unable to renew my membership this year, Ive had a reserved seat in the Kennedy club for the last 7 years but joined the Army at the end of last year and being in Sydney for the majority of this year i just couldn't afford to renew a membership that wouldn't get used. I blew a massive portion of my savings in 2008 for center square tickets for myself my Dad and my Brother ( i can even post proof i was there including the three of us being present in the official highlight reel on youtube to prove I'm a dedicated supporter) but just cant afford that on Defence wages. I'm desperate for a ticket, I don't care were it is. I know this is a massive long shot but i would just love to be there.

My Nanna and my aunty missed out on tickets so Me and my Dad gave the tickets to them that we got (she was a supporter for 50+ years and never had enough money to afford a GF ticket) so i purchased the Center Square tickets so it worked out for the whole family.

I am a recovering alchoholic, who has been to every Hawks game, and every Box Hill game since I was born.... I even went to Box Hill games before they were affiliated with Hawthorn. I was an alcoholic during the early 2000's. Weren't we all.

Of course, sometimes I could not get a drink... and I used to have to squeeze warm beer and sweat from the socks of people standing in Bay 13.

I lived for three months in a rolled up newspaper in a septic tank. I used to have to get up every morning at 6am and clean septic tank, go to work at the mill 14 hours a day for sixpence a week and when I got home dad would belt us to sleep with his belt.

I used to dream of living in a corridor.

My names Adam, I’m 21, a full time student, and have followed the Hawks since I was born. I love the Hawks with all my heart been a member for over 10 years of my life, and even though I couldn’t really afford a proper membership this year, I bought a general admission membership to support the club. I entered into the ballot, and was unfortunate and didn’t get a ticket. My best friend, who has grown up with me is in the exact same position as I am. We both don’t know what our best option is anymore to get a ticket. We are willing to spend the little money we have on tickets, but they are like $500-600 on gumtree and ebay, and we just can’t afford it. We were hoping that one of our fellow Hawks or just anyone could please help us out in some way or another. Wasn’t sure were the best place to ask this was. Still on the hunt for a ticket. Have almost given up on getting 2 together so 1 will have to do.

Based on those in a similar position in 2008, is it better to wait until Thursday or Friday or does pricing just get even more rediculous?

Also, is it definate that you cant upgrade a concession ticket either prior or at the ground? And how likely is it for them to check for a concession card? Aware of the light they have on the turnstiles so guess it comes down to good timing...

there are ways i am sure they would find out i still would not feed the scalpers nor would i risk my hard earned dollars

Nah don't really see how they could find out mate. The only way for me to get tickets now is scalping so I'm going to have to feed them

if the contacted them in a way of saying they want to buy them where are seats yes they could find out and yes can cancel them but good luck anyway

Alright I just got two swans members barcodes and have come out with two tickets.

The seats are: Section Q35-S, Row MM and Seat 1
And
Q5, Row Y and seat 24

Which spot would be the best for a Hawthorn supporter?

considering the fraudulent means you used to secure them you make sure you and whoever else behave. Id hate to hear that people were removed from the ground and had memberships revoked because of bad behavior...

sure but getting two sydney members who couldn't afford to make the 1000 trip and convincing them he was a swans supporter to get barcodes for the reallocation only to find out he lied to them including setting up a fake face book account... that's a low act. All I asked him to do was to ensure these two people dont have questions asked for poor behavior under their name on saturday.
