yeah the standard is pretty stock standard where as the restricted view is pretty restrictive plus sometimes you have to stand.**

:D ** - Denotes smartarse.
I didnt enter the ballot tickets - a mate did. Wasnt sure if standard was a different category to standing or not.

Or a Cat. ;)

I'd wanna hope so....although it brings up an interesting hypothetical of whether we'd love Saints supporters if they gave tickets to Cats fans :D

(Methinks no but it's still a laugh nonetheless:D)

Well no need to purchase a Centre Square ticket this year, we're through! Although just got a call from my mate who now doesn't want to go because it's standing room. I thought he was taking the piss. Took about three minutes to let a mate up in Brisbane know, and for him to book flights down. That's the kind of dedication I'm looking for!

Will now have to chuck all that cash I had set aside for Centre Square tickets on Chappy for the Norm Smith :thumbsu:

Doesn't want standing room = soft

Heck even if they were crawling room tickets I'd still go. Even though you'd see nothing, imagine being there for the awesomeness of when Stevie J kicks the winning goal :thumbsu:

Glad to hear you're in and on the Chappy too. I think he's a chance...although I'm still voting Gazza...this should be the week of Gazza love.

Anyone else up in the gods with me (Q1 - behind the goals, near where the Olympic Stand meets the Southern Stand from memory).

Not complaining - any ticket is a good ticket but be good to know that a few Cats supporters are around for me to high five since I'm on my Pat Malone

cool! i'll swap yer for my most excellent seat on the couch - arse groove an all!

I'm standing. I've never stood before but just happy to be there. Can you get a decent look from the standing area?

I stood at the '07 GF directly behind the goals (Ponsford stand end) and had no probs viewing. We were lucky enough to get front row of standing room so all was good. Make sure you get there reasonably early to get a good posi. The other great thing is standing room is that little bit closer to the bar!

Yeah only problem is I'm working until about midday so doubt I'll get in a good position. Ah well, at least I'm going to be there.

I got there at 1:30pm and had no probs getting a good posi. It may be a different story with more volumes of Saints fans compared to Port fans this time round.

Just being there is what its about for sure....Enjoy as its going to a beauty :)

I'm heading down there on my own as well, I'm down in M32 and have some mates up in the nose bleed sections. Stoked that I'll be around the Geelong faithful, They'll be high fives a plenty!

Will do, dad's a Saints fan so it's going to be a real family affair. GO CATTERS!

I was in standing room at last year's grand final - I think I arrived at the G around 11 or so and the bay was about 1/4 full. As I'm short, I stood toward the back of the bay for the (and sat up on the back fence of the bay when I could get away with it). I was skeptical I would even be able to see the game, but the view of the game was a lot better than I thought it would be, so you'll be right. The only unfortunate thing about the day was being behind a bay full of Hawthorn supporters (other than the obvious loss...). Enjoy the game!
