you would be $h17ing bricks as a defender running the ball out. the pace in our F50 at times would then be WHE, Treloar, Varcoe, Dagoey and Stephenson chasing you down.
Exactly.

The realistic part of Treloar is that he will be (id suggest) under done for the engine room.

But wow what an extra head ache for defenders with him there?
Be so good for us.

well they did just beat us at the G - but wasn't that one of those games where we were down to 2 on the bench?
We did not kick well that week we had a big chance to kill them off 1st qtr and did not take our chances. The main reason we lost that week was the lost of Cox before the game,I cannot remember if we were down a few players on the bench it would not surprised me though.

I’m happy to take on WCE at Optus for the first week. Think it’s a 50/50. Win and it’s a home prelim. Lose and we have between 1-3 home finals at MCG with players to come back in (depending on how deep we can go).

Lose and we play Richmond in a prelim.
I'd much prefer to play them in the Grand Final.

Would be massive to get those players back. Howe should be right to go this week against Freo. He is huge for our backline. Would be interesting if all 4 of these players were available as to who gets left out.

Just get the feeling Treloar will get himself back week 1-2 of finals.

Is Moore a liability with his hamstrings? Would hate to go a player down in a final - especially a KPP. Gut feel says if he is right to go and is clearly best 22 he will come in.

Goldsack would be a great story but he hasn't played a single game at any level so far this year... time is surely running out? Back injuries can get quite bad as well.

Feel that we might get 3 back in, not all 4.

Using the side that beat Port I would say the following:

Howe in for Oxley
Treloar in for Murphy
Moore in for Madgen

IF Goldsack gets back in it's difficult to work out who comes out..

B - Langdon Moore Maynard
HB - Crisp Howe Greenwood
C - Treloar Pendlebury Sidebottom
HF - WHE Mihochek Varcoe
F - DeGoey Cox Stephenson
R - Grundy Adams Sier
INT - Thomas Aish Mayne Phillips
You have to take the risk with Moore.

Magden isn’t going to be able to handle reiwolt, keenedy ect

Should we finish top 4 the outside chance of meeting Hawthorn in week 1 would be my pick, but more realistically it will be either WC or 9th.

Out those two I’d much rather play WC in week 1 as whoever wins the flag will most likely have to beat 9th along the way and I can’t see us doing it twice (QF & GF).

Of course there’s also the chance of losing to 9th in the QF and turning it around in the GF, but that’s unlikely. Also unlikely is beating them week 1 and seeing them lose again before the GF even if travel is involved. The latter would be damn pleasing though!

I reckon we'll get the job done with Freo, by more than what Hawks will do over Sydney.

As impressive as the Lions have been this year, I just think it's realistic they won't get over West Coast, even at the Gabba. Doesn't mean I won't be screaming my lungs out for them to get up though.

Playing first and only game away from home in the finals would be the way to do it providing we are top 4 I would have thought?

There’s only 0.3% separating WC and Hawthorn. It means another result falling into place but I think Collingwood and Hawthorn winning (albeit against Sydney) and WC losing would most likely result in us hosting Hawthorn at the MCG and WC dropping to 4th.

I'm probably going to go to our first MCG final (assuming we get one), so hoping it's a prelim!

Just looking at the current ladder and Freo are only JUST below WBD. The dogs have Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

Reckon Ross will be keen to lose to us by enough to keep him below the Dogs :p
Plus he will know the exact % the Bulldogs will have when our game kicks off.
So he will know exactly how many points he must lose by.

For me, ideally we beat Fremantle, Brisbane beat West Coast and Sydney beat Hawthorn (if not, we win by more than Hawthorn do). I’m happy to play West Coast there if Brisbane can’t beat them. I’d rather play them there with a second chance than in a preliminary final and have to potentially face Richmond to get into the GF.

Anywho, regardless of what happens, if you would’ve told me that we’d lose our first two and then still manage to not be out of the top 8 from round 10 onwards and that we’d finish top 4, I’d take it in a heart beat. Extremely successful season and although I don’t wanna be just making up the numbers, I’ll be okay if we don’t go all the way.

Enough of this talk of copying Richmond’s game plan. Doggies played exactly the same in 2016 with a make shift forward and backline stacked with midfielders; handball happy and strong pressure.

Tigers invented the forward press now did they? Give me a spell. We won 2010 off the back of this.

I just think it’s unlikely that WC lose against the lions.

I have a cousin in the states who is a Shaman. She told me we will not win a game without Cox. This was round one. We lost against GWS in round 2 and the game you speak of. Scientifically, he offers a lot of height, and he paddles the ball to the crumbers like De Goey, WHE, Varcoe, Stevo, Thommo, and Checker (Mihochek)
