9 years and 2 weeks as a board memberGreat, less than two weeks as President and you're declaring him no good, this is why we are where we are at.
I know there have been murmurings of board spills for some time and currently I am really against that however this period with our next coach needs to be last chance for our current board IMO.
We've had a lot of coaches this century and made a failure out of all of them, it doesn't take a genius to see the problem is not the coaches but something higher up. Should the next coach be a failure, then what must change must be higher up.
Our current board has only 2 members who were here before 2018. Why are the others guilty by association?
Why can't any of them have had different ideas but been outvoted?
If anything, a mix of old and new is the right way to go.
As for coaches, if we made failures out of all of them, does that mean you think all of them would have succeeded if retained? The odds are dramatically against that.
More about the same kind of people than the same people, or is that off the mark?
They most definitely can have different ideas and I hope they do.
Succeeded if retained? We will never know, the sad thing is that some would have and did at other clubs.
I hope the new crew are up to it, but tell me this, where will your opinion sit if we get more of the same with the new coach? Will you be ok just sacking him and moving on with the same board?
Pagan just needs to shut up himself...him and Mick Shithouse are like a broken record...

let it go moods. lets look for a better future.I have found it to be quite insightful. Two experienced premiership coaches with 5 premierships and 5 GF appearances between them, who are in a pretty good position to comment on the situation the club finds itself in.
Malthouse's comments about CFC living on their past glories and dragging them around like a ball and chain is 100% spot on.
Pagan and his snake pit comments, just as valid.
Instead of learning from all of this Sayers has just continued on the trend of previous administrations and just fired anybody he could.
Instead of hiring the best coach, we will probably have to choose between a coach who has been out of coaching for three years and stated he hated the job or some very qualified assistant(s) who are ready to step up. Personally, I would prefer the latter.
Apart from again demonstrating to the world that our club is run by fools, we also highlight this addiction we have to dictatorial type of leaders, whether on the Board or as figureheads. Even if Clarkson miraculously changes his mind and accepts the position, I promise you as night follows day, it will only take a few months for the sniping and dissatisfaction to start behind the scenes. The club just cannot help itself.
I have been told that since 2012...look to the future, but nothing changes. Can't you see the insanity we are part of??let it go moods. lets look for a better future.
I was too busy with other things around the time pagan was coaching so i dont have too much to say about him apart from he should just shut the fu** up now that it was over 15 years ago
However the MMalthouse appointment I can still remember like it happened yesterday. I cant say in words how ******* disappointed I was when we got that dickhead.
we just live in hope it will turn around soonI have been told that since 2012...look to the future, but nothing changes. Can't you see the insanity we are part of??
Sacked Swan and Ratten, appointed Malthouse and sacked him along with trigg, then sacked Bolton and Teague and Liddle, but now we are going to have a fresh start..
We both know this is rubbish...
we just live in hope it will turn around soon
i like this sayers dude. if we get someone like cook, i believe footy department will improve.
need a coach that can get the best out of our players. Look at bevo for example.Players and in game actions make coaches . Would love best 22 to state

Sayers looks better equipped to deal with the media parasites than MLG was.
The club is just a different place now. The playing list, footy department, rebuild, most of the board. Its just not the same place. Sayers actions are unique in the last 20 years as a president. Let's wait and see.let it go moods. lets look for a better future.

On Ch7 News tonight, it was reported by Browne that Diesel is currently full time at the club in his own office in the role of Executive Director of Football. Browne also stated that his role is not voluntary and is being paid.

Minus consultancy cultureI want Sayers.....

Sayers pandering, leaks flying? Alright.... If you choose to assume certain rumours as fact then maybe but not even then, besides your assumptions aren't even sure things. You actually have no idea why Ross pulled out. Maybe he decided coaching was too intense and couldn't be bothered. Maybe it was personal clash with Liddle, Lloyd, maybe it was the offered salary. Maybe it never actually got that far and he was never really that invested. You don't know yet you presume to.Its the board, the backers, the factions and the behind the scene string pullers.
Every coach of the past 20 years has been a favorite of/ and or sacked by those in the shadows with big wallets, big voices or both. Ditto CEO's, Recruiters and so forth. Liddle expended his political capital moving on SOS. SOS has now had the last laugh. Now both of them are sacked.
Sayers is both attempting a clean out for stability, while also pandering to the factions (as can be seen by concessions he was forced to make re Lyon which had Ross pull out of the running). Leaks are flying hard and fast by all sides in the conflict seeking to shore up their own positions.
And on and on and on it goes. The most unstable club in the land tears itself apart again.
How on earth can we ever have the unity required when all this behind the scenes bullshit just keeps playing out.
Who on earth would want a job at Carlton with that toxicity behind them?
We wont have unity till we get a combination that fosters an environment that starts winning. We wont start winning however till we first get that unity first.
The fish rots from the head.
