2nds Footscray Bulldogs VFL 2018

Thought we could have a thread for our VFL team going into next year where we can post news about new players, coaching changes, fixture announcements etc.

As mentioned elsewhere on the board Paul Amy has said that Angus Monfries will be with us next year in a playing/coaching/welfare role which is great news.

Also mentioned elsewhere here, Jordan Russell who has given us great service over the last few years is now a full time development coach.

Any other news feel free to post here. I’m back as a VFL member for 2018. Enjoyed watching the VFL this year more than the AFL. Hopefully we get a fair few members again for 2018 and continue winning VFL flags every second year.

I just rated the Footscray players on their performance last year, the numbers after their name equate to my rating of how they played last year.

Well with Jamieson, Hayes and Jordan Russell (retired) gone for next year that's 3 of the top 4 Footscray players gone, with the 4th top rated player, Billy Gowers being rookied.

Sorry to see that Nick Jamieson (B&F winner) and Will Hayes will not make it onto our list this year. They were clearly in our top handfull of best Footscray players.

Got excited about the ruckman Nick Desteiger once but he didn't follow-up on his great form.
