They can do what they want, if you don't like the league you can follow the state comp, if you wanna continue the misery that has plastered all over BF real estate that's fine too.
Just wanna get to the why non vic fans put themselves through the misery, continue the bitchin but won't turn their back on what they find abhorrent.

I find it abhorrent but I still watch. So would you if Collingwood was getting shafted.
Nah lol i watch my Eagles, but it always increases my enjoyment when victorian teams lose
My team's the biggest victim of AFL corruption, what with multiple rule changes to screw our game plan and a decade of umpiring bias, but I still watch it and go to games. It's more the total commercialisation that shits me.

Spot on. I don't expect any Victorian Club supporter to barrack for us if we make the prelim final against the Lions next week.
Century/generations plus old inner Vic club rivalries and hate will never be diminished or diluted because of non Victorian clubs
Other elements of #VICBIAS I don't necessarily disagree with (Indeed I sympathise with several of their beefs, esp with biased Fox Footy and 7 Commentary and forced to play in regional areas like Ballarat) but the notion most Vic Club supporters would actively cheer for our fellow Vic clubs against Non Victorian clubs, esp finals is ridiculous
Was so happy when Freo knocked Geelong off in ther final at the Cattery several years ago (an Sandilands masterpiece)

That has been asked and explained ad nauseam on these boards, so we do know and I agree it's not equitable, my question is to those who have a problem with it, why bother?

The league has major faults which can be improved on but it is still enjoyable to watch.
Yeah some have this weird notion that Vics actually despise them.
It's actually quite funny how they think we hate them when most Vics don't care enough, they should know this from following a state league, there is rivalries.

I don't find it abhorrent, you might, haven't see you whine about it though.
Most non vic fans though, think the league is conspired against them, yet they follow and bitch about it in perpetuity. Wanna know why they bother.

I sort of figured that for most non vic fans (others reading that correct me if I'm wrong).
Why is this important?
I don’t know why, I get we joined the VFL. I’m still dirty on WA footy rushing to do that. Matters not now however.
The only thing I really hate is the lack of respect the keepers of the sport have had in sharing the great history of the SANFL and The WAFL. That is on the AFL.
The so called vic bias does not overly worry me, I just shut off to it if I think it’s there. The Friday night football games always are a Vic team. So I just stopped watching Friday night footy. Other than finals or West Coast playing I can’t remember watching one.
I am more annoyed with what the AFL have done to this sport. I used to love this sport but now I don’t even know the rules anymore.
The fans however don’t care for the sport as we once all did, they care only for their club so the AFL know they can do as they please with the sport and the sheep will just watch it.
That is the sad thing for me.
Should the GF be rotated? Yes of course it should but I kinda like the MCG.
Should they fixture be fairer, yes of course it should. But until Victoria wants it fairer it will never be addressed. And of course they don’t want it to be addressed. So I live with it.
As I don’t love the sport anymore and that really annoys me then I have lost caring. That’s life as they say.

OK it's enjoyable to watch.
You claims it has major faults, I agree, there are faults that disadvantage your club.
If you complain about those, why do you complain? Knowing the probable answers to those faults?
Is it enjoyable enough for you not to complain about it?
And Interstaters will finally get to play a GF out of Victoria.
Judging by this thread and Richmond posters Vics do a good job of whinging themselves.
OP supports the most looked after club in the comp and wonders why Interstaters whinge about travel and they never leave the state let alone the MCG .

This is the first time I've read a post from you with a complaint, not sure why HQ don't share more SA and WA footy history, maybe it is bias.
This has been mentioned a gazillion times with disdain, yet those with that beef continue to follow this disrespectful league.
Of course Vic fans want the status quo, it suits their clubs better than non vic clubs.
You know it, I know it, every dog and its bowl knows it. The reason has been explained in perpetuity among eleventy gazillion threads, and the complaining with fervour still continues among non vic fans.
Other non vic fans can't seem to live with it in peace so why do they bother?

Again, I don’t know that answer. I just know mine. Does it really bother you mate? Threads would be pretty boring if we just talked about the game. It’s not that good anymore.
I don’t really give a shit who wins if it’s not Carlton. Would prefer an interstate side to our main Vic rivals though winning a flag and I’m sure they feel the same regarding us.
Do you honestly believe it's impossible to enjoy something, even though you have complaints about it?
For mine, if I supported Collingwood, I'd forever be complaining, because the club's gifted probably the biggest ride in the comp, yet continuously fails at winning flags.
Mind you, this was an issue long before the AFL was ever a thing .
