Brady Grey has popped up in Box Hill. I thought he had a coaching role with us or maybe I was mistaken??

You're right I think.

That was Nov 2021. Perth Demons Football club also have a statement on Feb 8th saying that he'll be leaving to go to Hawthorn.

So he must have gone back to Perth sometime between Nov & Feb.

I think Brady must have gotten a good offer over in Melbourne, maybe some kind of development role with Hawthorn?

He has done work with West Coast and their WAFL team, worked with Perth and played for them and then was doing some stuff with our NGA (Think he helped our womens team in the formative years too)

Natural progression may be that he got a playing/coaching role in Melbourne where there are more teams to try and get a crack in coaching development

He is a Tassie boy originally so hasn't gone home

Why Cerra chose Carlton: Self-confessed footy head explains Blues move:

ADAM Cerra wanted to build something from the ground up.

As he canvassed his options late last year, having made the decision to leave Fremantle and return home to Victoria, the prospect of starting anew – and starting from scratch – appealed to the talented 22-year-old's competitive spirit.

Cerra held Zoom interviews with premiers-elect Melbourne and attracted interest throughout the year from powerhouse Richmond, but ultimately settled on joining a Carlton team without a top-eight finish to its name in more than a decade.

Having just appointed Michael Voss as their new coach and with a couple of new players joining him at the club during the recent Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, Cerra was sold on the ability to find that fresh challenge with the Blues.

"They were really young and stacked with talent. Some of the players who are coming back from injury now, that weren't even playing much last year, they just add to the group and its depth," Cerra told AFL.com.au.

"Hearing about the group and the boys, they seemed really motivated. With all of the changes, to be able to join Carlton now, you feel like you're a part of it and building it from the ground up.

"We want to bring the fans along with us on that, with crowds coming back to the games, so I think it was just the perfect time for me to join. Along with Lewis (Young) and George (Hewett), we feel like it's a clean slate and we could really be part of something that we started with from the beginning."

Cerra, a self-confessed footy head, arrived at his decision to nominate Carlton as his preferred destination having forensically studied the club's list and its potential to rise up the AFL ranks in the coming years.

Love Hugh Dixon getting another chance at AFL. Always been a fan of his. Talented and used his body well.
However, the fact he has a third chance primarily due to that fact he’s tall, and finally realised it this off season. Dropped 8 kilos and got the kick up the butt. Will be playing many games for west coast this season thanks to Jack Darling

It does give you a sort of new appreciation for guys like Jye Bolton who are out there playing good footy for years but never get a chance where as tall guys like Hugh Dixon just need a season or two to 'prove' themselves. I mean I understand the why but still, does not always seem fair.

Jye Bolton did get drafted but got delisted. After that I'm pretty sure word was he didn't want to try again and was happy playing WAFL.

pretty sure he has nominated for or at least reported to have nominated for a few drafts and even recently the first mid season draft. Could be remembering wrong.

It’s pretty unfair indeed. However the taller you are in sports, the more opportunities you get. Bolton doesn’t fit a lot of club’s needs when he’s in the position of which games are won and loss. Midfield is a very contested position all over the league
As much as I’m a fan of Tabs, the same applies to him. Not the brightest player. However he has definitely taken his chance and worked hard for his spot. Seems like Hugh has finally seen what Tabs has been doing and applied it to himself

With better options, talent. Eh. Good luck to him. Cripps goes down, he’s the number 1 midfielder. It’s inevitable given his shoulders, groin, leg issues.

Walsh is the next in line behind Cripps. Hell, I would have him number 1 as it is.
