Heard this morning he was ahead of schedule in recovery. We play them at home in 6 weeks.
He makes it sound like he kept the conversations private amongst his wife, family, and friends. Somehow it got leaked to the media. I’d be more concerned about which of my peeps sold me out over the predictable reaction that ensued. I don’t condone any of the attacks on him and his wife but I think he’s burying the lead here.

Did anyone listen to the Hayden Ballantyne interview with Will Schofield?
I knew there was speculation at the end of 2016 that Ballaz was looking for a trade (to get additional years) but I didn't think it would happen.
On the interview he explicitly says the deal was basically done to get him to WCE. The only thing that made it fall over was Sam Mitchell came along and gobbled up all the money.
Worth a listen.

So glad that didn't happen, though I must admit a very small part of me would have loved to see Ballas play against us in a derby, that would have been theatre

I don’t mind Tobes but let’s be honest it wasn’t a surprise to see him delisted. His first couple of games showed some good composure. There after for whatever reason went deer in the highlights and never really made the necessary step up.
If he was available to us as a top up I’m sure we would have considered him but Swans were NGA aligned to West Coast and alas he is their top up.
They seem to be on a signing spree of delisted dockers so good chance he is added next year if he shows a bit. Then he will win the 2023 B&F and back up Hugh Dixon who is a Monty to win their B&F in 2022.
