Looking back we really should have done better with the forward line we had in 2019/20.

We had Taberner, Hogan, Lobb and McCarthy. On paper those names should be one of the best forward lines in the competition.

But alas, due to injury and personal issues it never came to be. I still reckon if we had been able to get them consistently all on the park it would have been one of the best in the competition.

I don't think we need to lower ourselves to attack Lobb or his partner. Similarly Acres. They've shown who they are and perhaps why Freo weren't really that upset about losing them.

What I think getting rid of both does is highlight how lucky we are to have such a great group of remaining high character young players and girlfriends/partners that match. Brayshaw, Serong and their girlfriends seem very similar to many of our past legends and their partners that have led the club, put everything into it and stayed loyal.

I don't think we give enough credit to the wives of Pav, Mundy and McPharlin (amongst plenty of others I am sure). Exceptional human beings and I'd suggest deserve a fair bit of thanks from Freo supporters for helping create the excellent characters that are their husbands.

One of the rare moments Hogan, Lobb and Tabs played together was probably the best forward line game game for quite some time..
Versus GWS 2019. Hogan got 3, Tabs 3, Matera 3, Walters 3 and Lobb 1. What couldā€™ve been. Tabs went nuts that day.

Does any Freo fan have any warmth towards him? He never really seemed to be embraced by fans even during the year when he played well.
I liked him and donā€™t have any ill feelings. He played really well this year in what would have been tough personal circumstances so he gets a lot of credit from me for that.

And he has to look after himself and his partner first, not us supporters. We got an excellent return for him in the end.

I really donā€™t see why people feel the need to hate on him so much, says more about them than him frankly.

Heā€™s been our best key forward for a couple of years. Reckon heā€™ll drop off a bit, though, especially given heā€™ll be rooting more regularly
That's actually sad he was our best key forward considering he isn't in the top 10 in league imho.

Don't hate this comment but if we had trampoline chest Jack Darling instead of Rory Knobb, Darling would've kicked more goals.

Don't hate!

I really don't know why people feel the need to defend him after he shit talked the club throughout the entire process when the entire situation was self made.

Just reading an article about Lyon and the Saints and it's bugging me that I can't pick who this player is - the guy peering out between Blakely and Sheridan?

I don't hate Lobb, however if he signs up for 4 years and wants out after 2 then I reserve the right to think he is having a lend of our club.

He was entitled to ask to move to another club but we are also entitled to hold him to the contract he signed.

Disappointed in his rather lame comments on the way out. Best to keep your mouth shut rather than feed the angst of the supporters of the club you just walked out on.

Freo supporters usually feel some warmth towards ex players who have done the right thing by the club but Rory will cop plenty on game day vs the Dogs.

Lloyd Meek will get plenty of polite support from the Freo crowd I suspect.

He could have just moved and been positive about his new club, do you hear Jackson even at his age bag Melbourne yet Lobb has to carry on saying he felt like he was on the outer and how he doesn't know if he could have played next year with the Dockers if he hadn't been traded.
