Fraser and Didak off to Richmond for 2008 ?

It is going to be an interesting battle for Judd.

Carlton will have to part with pick #3 and Fev...Kennady just doesn't cut it...he wouldn't get a game at WCE...so they are wasting WCE time offering that rubbish.

Richmond could offer pick #2 and Foley or someone that is quality to get Judd.

Melbourne could offer pick #4 and Robertson to get Judd. But the WCE seem keen on Morton....likely top 3...so maybe no deal for Melbourne.

Collingwood...will struggle to get a deal done...as they won't trade Thomas (#1 pick), Pendlebury (#5 pick), Didak (#3 pick) or Fraser (#1 pick). Maybe Leon Davis, pick 14-17 & two 2nd rounders...but i doubt they would want it.

And with the draft this year apperently being a thin one, they won't trade ready made top 5 draftees to get a #2 pick in a thin draft to get Judd....24yrs old, injuried but a champion!

Carlton are the front runner for me...even if it kills me to say it.

Doesnt look like Carlton want to trade Fev.

You're kidding me? We wouldnt give that. Infact our depth drops off so quick it seems a good deal is unable to come by. PSD. ;)

Would be a bargain for the Dees.

Yup Im with you Collingwood need to upgrade a pick to get Judd but none of them are going to want to or are going to want a very high price knowing where that pick is really going and that Collingwood REALLY want it.

I konw they might not want to part with Fev...but they may have to...if the WCE are looking for a FF...which they are.

But that brings melb into the play with Robo...but they may need to include a 2nd rounder as well to sweeten the deal!

So Richmond would have to give away pick 2 and Foley (22 yo) and Melbourne only pick 4 and Robbo (29 yo). So that would mean RObbo has more value than Foley:eek:

lets be honest - if Didak or Fraser walked into the RFC they would be the best players at that club. Brown and Bowden would be close but Brown is always injured and Bowden just gets kicks behind play.

Your reality must be a scary place.
Fraser would be 2nd choice ruck behind Simmonds.
Didak another small forward - just like Pettifer and N. Brown.

They're both unwanted at Punt Road.

Didak at 24 will up next year into the midfield and be a game breaker like he was last weekend!

Robo is a proven star...Foley was great most of the year...but once he got recognised as Richmonds best midfilder (based on 2007 form) he was getting tagged/chose attention...which he couldn't handle...maybe he has been figured out and might not be as good as you hope!

Didak is beeter than both these 2...Brown was a gun...but will never return to his old form...Didak can play midfield...as you may have seen in the WCE Vs Pies final!

Pies have a good side now. Why would they give up any of didak pendlebury thomas fraser for judd. It wont happen. The only way any other club would be in the hunt for him is if the blues take 1 and 3 off the table or dont want to give the eagles a good player with the pick. ie give me a break with the kennedy talk.

there is no way collingwood would trade didak

when hes at his best he is the best player in the competition along with judd

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

There's a few guys called Kerr, Cousins, Bartel, Ablett Jr, J. Brown, Franklin, Cox, Black, Fevola, Hodge, Lucas, Burgoynes, Cornes, Goodes, Riewoldt, DalSanto to name JUST a few. Ever heard of em?

All I can think to say in response to this post is "Hi Alan".

If I was Richmond I would be hoping for the biggest poo fight ever seen between Judd, WC & C'wood.

Tigers would be crazy to trade pick 2 to anyone when it facilitates another club getting pick 2. In fact if I was at the Tigers I would feign interest in trading pick 2 to the Pies until 12:01 PM on the last day of the draft (you could always say dammit GM ...thats not the fax machine its a toaster!).

Worst case scenario - you have pick 2 and 1st pick in the PSD.

No way they will trade Foley ...he is a legend for the way he has worked and got on to the list.

It will be interesting if Judd nominates his chosen club as C'wood as we know they play super hard ball. If he nominated Carlton - a deal will be done in a heart beat ...3, 20 & a player (no way should they give up 1) or the player to another club for a pick.

Uh, if Collingwood were prepared to part with Fraser and Didak to get pick #2 and on-trade it for Judd, I think West Coast might step in and say "you know what, we'll just take Fraser and Didak ourselves..."

Salary cap?

Whoever gets Judd will have to give up player(s). Just to free up room in the cap.

The Eagles won't want to take any big contracts back. One of the silver-linings is that Judd leaving will give them the room to give contracts to all those young veterans. If Judd hadn't left this year the chances are that a Selwood, Waters, LeCras would have.

WCE will take picks. The club that gets Judd will have to move players. That means 3,4,5 clubs get involved and the deal going to the Thursday of trade week and holding up any other deals.

Could we do a "Brisbane" deal with the pies?
We take Judd via the PSD for 12 mnths.
With the agreement that we have Reid and their 1st rnd pick in 08.

Pies dont have to sell the farm to get Judd as they would have to this year.
We keep our Pick 2 this year
We hope like hell the pies have a porker of a year in 08 :D

My point wasn't that West Coast would ask for Fraser and Didak, but that they would be a bit put off if we overpaid for pick #2, and then gave them the lesser valued returns.

It doesn't make sense, in a three team trade. This would be like Freo trading Pick #13 and Matthew Pavlich to get Pick #8 from Richmond last year, and then turning around and trading us pick #8 for Tarrant - We would rightly have thought "you know what, leave Richmond out, and just give us Pavlich".

Even if it's for a three-team trade, you don't give up more than any of the individual pieces are worth to make the trade happen.

jeez well he handled your tagging/close checking well when he tore you guys a new one... thought he handled it pretty well in fact.

What benefit in Carlton trading Fevola and Pick #3 for Judd??
While Judd might get plenty of the ball in the middle....who's he gunna kick it to without the Fev there???
Fat Lance??
Basically Fat Chance!

ohh ok mate so u think ive never heard of them players??? yep righto

like I said, when hes at his best hes unstoppable
most skillful and freakish player in the afl

I wasn't refering to collingwood in particular...he will be lucky to average 20 touches per game next year...you guys will have to tear yourselves a new one to get Judd...goood luck...the pies have more chance...and we have no hope!
