The in play ruling was objective was it?

Apparently. They decided one kick from the ball is considered in play. You or I may disagree with that, but it's the definition they decided on before Hall punched Matt.

I thikn it would be widely agreed there was so much inconsistency last season over the specific interpretations of the tribunal that calling it objective simply isn't true.

In any case, it doesn't change history, and Sydney definately don't deserve to have a (*) next to their premiership, nor will the side that wins tomorrow (even if there are some debatable umpiring decisions)

Any tips for the free kick ratio? No doubt it will favour WC because the AFL and umpires hate Sydney, but by how much. Sydney have not had a game with free kicks in favour since 2004.

I'm guessing WC will get 10 more free kicks than sydney, with 5 more inside attacking 50m.

i think i'm going to cry

so long as when the swans constatly lie on the ball they pay holding the ball....when the swans do that bull**** fake trying to get it out when we know they have no intention of getting it out...its so obvious

I think the umps will see this.....lie on top of it ping them....swans wouldnt have a chance if that happened though...so who knows...all I know is swans constantly lie on the footy

If you look at that pic and the only obvious free you see is a push in the back to the Irish guy, then you really do have nothing, know nothing about Aussie Rules, and should bug out of this thread before you get embarrased.

FWIW, Irish Guy = kennelly. (who knows nothing about AR?)

Even before seeing photos like this (after the mark), a fair few swans supporters would have been thinking. "I bet the ump pulls out a free to WC". That way it would have followed the exact script of the QF.

WC's forward line game plan is based around get 4 or 5 free kicks inside 50.

Well if Sydney have 20 of the 22 players inside West Coast forward line for a fair percentage of the game.

It is not unreasonable then to expect 4 or 5 free kicks to be paid, possibly even more considering the congested nature of the contest with the 20 or eagles players also there
