Tucker’s apparently looking like a ‘bad hamstring strain’
Sounds like a misdirection to me. We are so used to hearing "it's minor" and then the player ends up out for the season... So now they tell us it is serious up front and then... yeah no, it's still going to be season ending regardless. Sorry.

This injury situation is catastrophic. Have we had any games so far where everyone has got through unscathed?
Yep I watched them playing a game of table tennis at the hub and nobody got hurt - except the loser's feelings. And they almost got through a full game of Monopoly until the 'ol soft tissue curse claimed another scalp.

What’s the bet Cox was out all week but didn’t want to reveal it?
Silliness with injury. A whole backline is out.
Logue, Cox, Hill
Young, Pearce, Hamling.

**** me that's actually our first choice backline, sans Ryan. At least we know the defensive depth is good with the current lot holding up well.

wonder when we'll get the injury news lotto given the game was last night. depending on how bad Tucker's injury was we may not see him again for the season depending on how compressed the season gets. wonder if stef giro will be given an improved update 2 weeks in a row

I don't think JUST removing Weber will solve the problem. No disrespect to any of the people in our S&C, who are no doubt all trying their best... BUT it simply isn't working and hasn't been for ages. We've seen with some players they can struggle at one club then move to another and everything clicks (or vice versa). Sometimes it just isn't the right fit. Change in the end is best for both parties when things aren't working.

It's time to gut the whole thing and build it back up. Fresh eyes, fresh perspectives, fresh ideas is what is needed. As others have said there are surely a bunch of highly qualified people out there who wouldn't be employed currently given the lack of sport going on globally. Club needs to be selling WA (Covid-safe and lifestyle) more so than just Freo the footy club. Funds are tight but surely there is some opportunity to get some bargain talent atm?

In more amazing news, Luke Ryan in for scans. Killin it this year aren't we.
yep, it was quoted that Ryan said (under his breath as he passed the media rep) on the way to radiology "well why should I have to bust my ass when everyone else in the team gets paid for sitting on their ass watching the game on the telly. I want to be injured too. Have an appointment with Webber later today to make sure that happens in case this scan comes back negative"

It's definitely time to look to the future. I'd be dropping Schultz for Henry, move Mundy to the forward line and bring in Valente, drop Bewley and put Frederick to the wing and bring in Blakeley to give the likes of Brayshaw a hand in the middle. There really is no point in continuing to play Mundy in the middle or persisting with the likes of Bewley, Schultz or Matera.

I just don't seem to see what the club sees in the like of Bewley, Schultz or Matera. I get we are struggling for numbers due to injuries but three is no point persisting with players that offer next to nothing and probably won't be on the list in 2 years time, we may as well give the games to the younger guys who have more of a chance of making it.

Rant over

Houghton and Duffy up forward, EAntionio on the wing; Bowers in the guts, Miller rotating off wing to middle; Pugh, Seth, Mascall down back; O’Sullivan at HF; Stannett, Cuthbertson, Roux & KAntonio (stand-alone VC for her excellent leadership) on the bench.
Team sorted.

jeez u boys are getting a real unlucky run at it. anyone know what Ryan is getting scans for?
Rumour is its looking like it could be the Freo pioneered "missing head" syndrome. Luckily the last one diagnosed with it came back the next week.

In all seriousness, nope, no idea
