Normal people: Club takes opportunity to give players light week during the bye.

The West: Injury crises brews at Fremantle as numerous players unsighted at training.

Yes for sure

It's mid season. There wouldn't be a club out there without a list of players who weren't sore from playing

Switta copped a few big hits against Melbourne lucky both he and Freddy and Amiss for that matter get a few weeks to walk it off.

I doubt we see him unless Amiss is injured, loved what he did for us with his limitations but if the young guns can play, surely they stay.

Darcy hasn't missed more than 2 games in a row since 2020 so that checks out if he comes back v GWS
2 weeks will be an awesome result but I don't want to rush anyone pending how results are going. Give Walters and Darcy as much time as possible so they will be ready for finals.

So much for the injury crisis inferred by The West...

I'm glad we had the bye. There was plenty of injuries in the last round. Melb- 1, Carlt- 1, WC-3, Bullies- 1, Adel- 1 and North 2. Teams are playing for so much at this stage.

I don't really like Mooney arguing for inconsistent interpretations of the rules and I don't really think they should be arguing ("not arguing but") that the game should be played the way it was in their youth - the rules were changed to protect the long term health of the players of today and tomorrow.

Mansell was unfortunate but so was O'Meara.

ROUND 14 INJURY LIST
Sean Darcy (hamstring) – 1 week
Will Brodie (ankle) – 1 week
Heath Chapman (hamstring) – 3 weeks
James Aish (concussion) – TBA
Matt Taberner (back) - TBA

Sean Darcy has been ruled out of Fremantle’s round 14 game against GWS, with the ruckman targeting a return from a hamstring injury against Essendon in round 15.

Fremantle will be without James Aish due to a concussion sustained against Richmond, while Will Brodie will also be unavailable due to an ankle injury.

High Performance Manager Phil Merriman confirmed Darcy, Aish and Brodie would be unavailable for selection.

“Sean is tracking really well but he won’t play this week,” Merriman said.

“He’ll be in line to play the following week.

“Aishy was in this morning and in really good spirits. We’ll get him into the protocols and hopefully, we’ll see him in a couple of weeks.

“Unfortunately, Will rolled his ankle at the back end of training last week. It was a pretty decent ankle injury.

“He’ll be touch and go this week but he’s more likely to play next week.”

Merriman expects Michael Walters to play a full game against the Giants after coming on as a sub against Richmond, playing 38 per cent game time and kicking two goals in his return from a calf injury.

“(Walters) was really good, he did a bit of top up running post game,” Merriman said.

“The plan for him is to play a full game this week.”

Defender Heath Chapman continues to progress in his recovery and is three weeks away from a return to football

I love that this is hardly a discussion topic these days, awesome.

Shame that Darcy looks like he'll miss again when we're vs. another brute type ruckman in Briggs. Really need the big fella back ASAP.
