Carlton peeps, come on, no one on here wants your advice, stay out

Edit: holy **** Carlton people, how can you think anyone here wants your input on umpires or anything to do with the game. Stay out or get pointed

Don't know if I'd be very pleased if I was Carlton fan after that. Yeah they won but it needed a lot of luck on top of the fact their midfield got its arse handed to it on a plate despite De Koning broadly getting getting the better of Jackson. We dominated large stretches of that match and better composure and structure across half forward (let alone the end) we would have won comfortably. Let hope the review of this game helps us improve this season, not just for 2025.

If Carlton are a contender then sure as hell we are.

You're missing the point. We had more than enough opportunity to win that game on our own terms, but we left the door open as we always do. I'm not talking about the game plan mind you, but the absolute brain fades that we seem to get time and time again in our forward 50.
And we had more than enough opportunity to win the game on our own terms at least twice in those last 2 minutes before the umpires took it away from us with no merit.

Amiss missing to put the club up 15 points allowed Carlton a sniff. Limited chances, mean he has to make those
I know I'm venting a lot, but Amiss has had an "ok" season at best. We all know he's got A grade talent everywhere, but he doesn't do enough and 1 kick in the second half is deplorable.

He is 1.3 from set shots in the last 3 weeks and only 4 marks inside 50. It's not good enough

He's definitely down on form.

Lots of things went wrong. But I feel in a tight game we lost it when Johnson got dragged just before Frederick did his hammy. We needed run and we didn’t have it.

IMO Johnson is a major disappointment. Plays too much like he’s still the biggest guy in under 18s. I think he needs a run in the WAFL.

We also desperately need a talented small forward who isn’t a 33 year old Michael Walters. Felt we struggled to lock in the ball inside 50 once it hit the ground.

Basically if they're crapping on that the blues can go all the way, so can we.
Not with this game plan.

Game plan got us in the position to win a game that we were underdogs for, just needed to do it better when it mattered.

It’s not. Tabs is in front of him based on form.
Amiss is not getting Weitering, Tabs is.

His routine is off slightly and it showed with that kick. It was a momentum turned

He's in front of where you might expect a developing key forward to be.

Really hope Darcy is ready next week. Jackson, as predicted by anyone who's watched more than one game of him a season, is getting physically worn out being in that ruck role all the time. Was severly outplayed today and could not hold a mark. Getting him back up forward will help him and Amiss.
