Really hope Darcy is ready next week. Jackson, as predicted by anyone who's watched more than one game of him a season, is getting physically worn out being in that ruck role all the time. Was severly outplayed today and could not hold a mark. Getting him back up forward will help him and Amiss.

All likelihood that last ruck knock would have been at Darcy's feet and locked in. Jackson's play there was probably too low percentage to be on.

How can you have a disconnect like that where 95% of people can see that is touched an all of the umpires on the ground see nothing?

Teams cannot put all of that effort in only to be robbed at the end.

Happens all the time to us.

I used by a die hard fan of footy but the AFL with manufactured results have turned me off.

I’ve watched other non Docker games where the umpires favor the team that makes the AFL the most money.

Going into this game Draper was my one concern due to his inexperience. It showed but its all good for the future

Definitely a great learning experience for him. I was excited he was getting the opportunity to play on Curnow.

Clark told Umpire "19" that he believed the decision not to call touched was incorrect. Umpires "19" felt violated and payed a free and a bonus 50 metre due his hurt feelings.

Johnson is invisible in the first half of games. I'd rather JOM/Brodie in there.

Same. Or even Erasmus. But he hasn’t done anything to wow me this season and even the back half of last season he was pretty poor

I think there is something there with Johnson but he plays as if he has more time and space than he actually does at this level, and if he doesn’t fix that up he’s going to continue to cost us.

He certainly deserved to be dragged but it ended up being too early for tactical sub. You can’t carry a player who is playing so poorly they are tactically subbed before 3QT.

He needs to be dropped, and I think he needs enormous improvement before he is a full time midfielder. He just doesn’t have it at the moment, not in the same way it was obvious that Serong, Brayshaw or Young had it at an early age. If he doesn’t fix his game up he won’t make 100 games at Freo.

Have said this for several weeks. MJ is a long way off the required level this year.

Gave away three 50m penalties and not sure if it was Clark or Treacy (99% sure it was Clark) regardless if it's worthy of a free kick, was selfish and hurt us.

Leadership group need to hold Clark/Treacy accountable for that selfish act

Yeah. The loss sucks and especially a loss in those circumstances, but I guess there's a lot more positives to take from it than if we had lost any other way.

We lost our composure in final 4 mins.

Treacy marks that ball on the 50 we win.

Up by 9 with 3 mins to go the ball doesn't ping pong back to curnow and get locked in Carlton half for the rest of the game.

There will be frustration but I am not too fussed we are close enough to them if good enough if we meet again.

Just need to be more ruthless in front of the sticks.

Started with Walters tbh. Why is he hurrying up to kick forward like that? It’s like were chasing the game rather then hold the lead. Some of the decisions were rushed.

A bit unlucky that Freddie seemed to get his injury just after Johnson was subbed off.

I think Sonny wanted to take his time with his last kick to Treacy, but maybe should have kicked it to Treacy the first time he lead.
