While there hasn't been too much info coming out yet about the top picks projected for the 2025 draft but Whan has made the list of Sheenan's projected top 25 players which means he must at least be shaping as a potential 1st round pick at this stage. He seems to have kicked quite a few goals for South Colts playing midfield so potentially he shapes the ideal mid for us. Whats his speed like?
Don't remember it being a stand-out trait. He just covers the ground really well and was getting tagged last few games. Rodriguez on the other hand has decent pace and instantly caught my eye.

On some of the social media groups that talk about the draft prospects and where Whan sits currently. Whan is described as a potential 1st rounder who's best asset is his kicking and ability to weave out of traffic to get free.

Meanwhile not much on 2026 draftees coming out yet but Robinson really does shape as a potential top 5 pick currently. His clearance stats at state level were reportedly insane. Imagine him and Young in the centre clearances together in a few years. I think we'll have an elite midfield long term with or without Chad Warner.

I’m not across this NGA options. Someone confirm we have the following main prospects for 2025 ND and 2026 ND:
  • Whan (2025: 20-35 range)
  • Robinson (2026: too early to tell but possibly similar range or even a bit earlier)

Any other names worth keeping an eye out for that could go in the main ND?

Robinson is projecting top ten I’d say
Basil Hart in 2025

I’d say it’s still too early to tell even for the 2025 kids (Whan and Hart) last year everyone thought the Campo twins were looking like first round picks and the blues loaded up on F4 rounders to match them both (one of the reasons the AFL backed away from introducing the new points this year because all those F4’s would become worthless)

A big If but IF Robinson continues his current trajectory, he could go top 5. He is monstering U16 kids so he needs to keep it up. Hopefully he stops growing once he hits 195cm cause I am getting nervous he will be too tall for the midfield. I will provide reports at SFFC next year to track his progress.

I have him top 5 easily at this stage

A poster over on the main draft board has done a very early power rankings of the top 75 players for next years draft.
Obviously subject to large fluctuations but he’s got Whan at pick 33 and basil Hart at pick 72.

Eagles NGA player Wes Walley was ranked at 27.

Dyson Sharp of SA was his pick 1 choice. Fred Rodriguez is the highest ranked WA player I think.

Wes Walley looks a player no doubt before draft he’ll be top 20

Joshua Nomlatyu is very raw
197cm, 83kg
22/02/2007

A possible cat B rookie??
Probably the most likely outcome. Made the WA u18s Summer squad, so he has something about him. I don't think he even made his WA u16s last year, so 2024 was a very good year development wise for him. So who knows, maybe he rockets up again.

Of that list, you have Whan, Hart and Nomlatyu for the 2025 class, Robinson and maybe Farmer as a father-son (idk if that's Jeff's son) for the 2026 class.

I don't think it is Jeff's son. Robert is from Albany. From what people are saying Jeff moved to the Gold Coast sometime ago and his son will most likely represent the Allies.

Jeff Farmer lives in Melbourne, in the SE suburbs. Same street as a friend of mine, I’ve seen him a couple of times. Has a young family, quite a few kids I think.
They are probably going to be more affiliated with the Dees having grown up in Melbourne.
If his kids are any good at footy they will be part of the Dandenong stingrays pathway.

Ok, fair enough. A differing report on another thread but I'll go with your word.

Believe it or not he was a mad Subi supporter and even rocked up to post grand final celebrations at Subi into his 30's.

By the way that kid Josh Nomlatyu is gonna be a heck of a lot better than a Cat B contender. Kid has immense natural talent. It's up to him now to hold down CHF/FF for the Sharks. I'm a big fan. I have him 18 on the WA 2025 list. Basil Hart at 16.

16 and 18th on a WA list would very likely be Cat B. What we have in the ND just gone about 8. Maybe that rises a bit but 16th is definitely heading into Cat B territory I would have thought.
