Even though you lost I see too many positives to be depressed. All your young guys stood up in the final. Fyfe, Roberton, etc. You will be a force to be reckoned with. Look forward to playing you all next year and hope Barlow has a speedy recovery.

Its just so disappointing to not get a proper chance to show how good we could play. I mean Sandilands, Barlow, Tarrant, Ballantyne, Hasleby ... you take the equivalent players out of Geelong's side next week and I guarantee they lose by 50 points to Collingwood.

Still think we could have won the flag if we had the injury luck of Geelong and Collingwood (could have held 2nd spot, top four minimum). They have basically zero injuries between them except for Rooke (whom I rate highly).

But Geelong too good tonight, we never had a chance.

I thought the big difference tonight was the disposal efficiency. We missed plenty of targets, while Geelong were just excellent at finding a target in space. Not sure if Collingwood would be quaking in their boots, but they will definately be less happy tonight they they would have been this time yesterday.

Hopefully the young guys don't drop their heads over the summer after getting belted pretty much the second best season Dockers have produced in their history. Should be aiming for top 4 next year. No disgrace getting belted by Geelong.

that's mainly because they were playing at a finals intensity and we weren't. It was a training run for them at times

Felt we lined up poorly.
Sandi in the goal square was a poor move, made us look to bomb the ball in high, which plays into Geelongs hands the way they zone off.
Thought Fyfe, Mundy, Walters, MJ, Pav and Roberton played pretty well.

heard Bruce say that Brisbane lost the 2000 semi final to Carlton by 80 points and we all know how they came back from that. I think these Dockers are pretty resilient compared to previous teams so I have no doubt we'll come back well next year. We must keep Mundy though

Ok, first off, for all the freo blokes that jumped on our section and slung crap at us all week - nyah nyah nyah, we won, suck it!!

To the rest of you, your blokes put up a fantastic effort. Beaten by a side that has a hell of a lot more experience, and you remind me of a lot younger Saints side with a hell of a lot more potential.

I really admire the way you play your footy, you dont result to negative boring footy and still make it entertaining to watch - if you end up being a premiership team in the future like you promise to be - I wont begrudge that and will even enjoy watching you win.
