Apart from the obviously underdone 211, I think we should pop this game away with the North/Western Bulldogs games. There's something about these games in which we're unable to bring enough intensity. Always reacting again. Can we find a way to combat it?

For a "fast" team we looked slow tonight.

Much will be made of the selection of Dessie - I don't want to comment other than to say I don't think an alternate player (doesn't matter who) would have effected the outcome tonight.

Walters. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

It pains me to say it, but I want St Kilda (or Sydney) to win it now.

It's also an absolute certainty that the Hawks would have been drilled by 100 points tonight (bottom 8 next year for them with West Coast).

Cheers Hybrid and the other gracious posters from Geelong & other clubs.
10 kids under 50 games who have never even played on the G was never going to beat 20 premiership players at this end of the year. I was pleased with the way we fought it out, I think we were only -7 points for the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Most pleasing was the way Fyfe, Walters, Roberton, Hill had a real crack. Fyfe is going to be amazing.
It's such a diverse spread of talent.

They..for the most part this season have made some very good desicions when it came to team selection but this one TOTALLY bamboozzled us...

Nothings an absolute certainty in footy. We take it right up to cats when we play them, certainly would have done better than your lot did, but we wouldn't have been travelling interstate. Shame Sandilands wasnt fit though, would have at least made more of a challenge. Geelong will fall out next week, too tired with fresh feet pies ready to roll.

I didnt realise it was 10 under 50. That makes it all the more impressive - especially since how you guys finished last year.
You have absoluteley nothing to feel bad about because you are a fair way ahead of what you should be!!

I can see a lot of the 06 cats in your mob - we all know how that ended up:D:thumbsu:

Congratulations to Fremantle FC on a fantatsic 2010.

No disgrace in going out to the best team of the last 3-4 years.
Extraordinary effort to have the season they did and all looks great for the future with young guns on every line.:thumbsu:

Drink up and be merry...there's always next year.:D

Just finish watching the game delayed. Well can't say I didn't expect it, but not a total disaster given that we went into the game second in every department and the lost out further when the gamble of Des became essentially ineffectual from the start.

I had a good look at that first quarter and we were blown away, but hopefully we learn something from that. We most definitly had our opportunities. Just some critical errors gave them those first 3 goals and then we just went into our shells further. The mood Geelong were in there was no way even half a chance was going to be not taken advantage of, and they did and then some. When they're in that sort of mode, they simply ARE the best team in the country.

Positives; so many players showed they're up for finals footy, both this week and last. Fyfe, Walters (another find :thumbsu:), Broughton, Silvagni, Mundy among others all showed they can and do turn up on the big stage. Pav showed the Vic public how good he can be even in a loosing team. Sandi and many of the other senior players were brave.

Disappointing but much to look fwd to next season.

You've got a lot to look forward to guys.

Four more years of Pav, a dominant ruckman (when on two legs) and a wealth of exciting young talent in Hill, Fyfe, De Boer, Roberton and Morabito.

Good stuff and good luck next year.

Im not sure what has been said but the Fremantle Football Club should be proud of itself and its supporters.

On the way walking to the game their was distinct group of Freo supporters that had a carnival feel to it. It was a delight to see such pleasure in the eyes of deprived supporters . At the game the group of Purple noise makers @ M13 were a rowdy lot , supporting with their FREOOOO , FREOOOO... It made me think that I was quite glad it was not a close game.

The boys themselves were a little over awed but your so young and missing quite a few of your better players. The next 4 years should be the best in your history , with guys like Hill and Morbito you future looks better than good.

I wish you well , (certainly better than WC) , its tough being the little brother. So good lucking keeping your best players and all the best for next year.

Not so sure about that...... they won the game in the first quarter and coasted for most of the rest of the game. They wont be as tired as if the game had been played with finals intensity.

Its great that Freo made the finals though.... well done!

we were outclassed early, but we showed alot particularly in the second quarter where we just couldnt seem to get it into the forward 50 efficiently.

big test now is how we build on it. all signs point to us being a very good side, on and off field as well as the culture of the club changing all suggests a big time for us... praying we dont go back to the old ways, thats the reason i was most pissed about des coming in
