FWIW: take a look at West Coast's attendance numbers during our spoon year (2010), you might be surprised to see that it was only a touch lower than 2011 (finished 4th). Most clubs would kill for that kind of support.

This wasn't even close... This was just my fleeting thoughts on a supporter base so disturbingly clutching at their clubs past success to fill the void of their otherwise empty lives.

FWIW: I would put my hat on the fact you would lose almost 50% of your supporter base if you had a Melbourne length stint of no finals.

I felt it was a witty reply to what was an extensively long although well worded poem by one of your own.

The wit was in the short succinct and non witty reply by me.

But if you have to explain that to people who take offence it kind of loses its impact.

My ingenious reply, clearly lost of you, was derived from an Indiana Jones scene.

Indiana is faced by someone who goes through an extensive martial arts routine before combatting Indiana. Indiana just pulls out a gun and shoots him.

That was my attempt of poetry. I was just shooting it down. Because nor do I have the ability to create or care to try for so long.

Especially when I knew I’d get the desired response that I did from some of the less intellectual types.
