Martina Nav had plenty to do with two of my all time favourite players Martina Hingis who was named after her and Tracy Austin who Nav beat in the semis at Wimbledon in 1979 and I have held it against her ever since :)

Austin can’t stand as a commentator bit before my time as a player. Loved Hingis though

I've only have heard of Austin as a player (don't have pay TV). To turn pro at 15 is amazing and if it wasn't for a sore back could have been number 1 for longer.
I love Jim Courier and McEnroe as commentators and for interviewing players after a match.

Only two Aussies through to the second round. Kokkanakis after a marathon against Popyrin and the Demon with the easiest win of any men’s player only losing three games.

First time since 1998 we have no women into the second round. With Dasha and Ajla both over 30 things are looking a bit grim.

The women were looking grim after Barty retired, underneath her were journeywomen at best, the fact that Dasha after two ACL's is our best one says it all. Don't get me wrong she's a lovely girl but the development has to be questioned.

Clay is never the men's greatest surface anyway, ADM has a decent draw until the 3rd or 4th which is probably where it ends as usual. It isn't his best surface anyway.

Austin is on the tennis network which is sort of like Kayo, I tend to watch the smaller events especially on the WTA tour so it helps there, very European centric which suits me as my favourites are generally European

Great effort. Shame we didn't get to see any of it on FTA.

It was on Stan and to be fair Cornet's last match was more important

on Stan with a subscription. They showed Rybakina and half of the Cornet match. If they are allowed to show 3 matches where are the rest? They should have been showing the 5 setter between the 2 aussies, but no it was infomercials when i woke up this morning. They didn't even have it on 9now. Surely they should be offering it on that without the need for a subscription.

It’s the French Open there’s a key word there. They are focusing on players who have a chance Rybakina being one of them.

I am not disputing that. All they put on last night was 1 and a half matches and stopped the coverage at 9:30pm. Most of the outdoor courts started around 10pm after the rain delay. If they have a contract to show 3 matches a night the 1st week then show them. Don't leave FTA viewers hanging after 2 and a half hours of coverage when contract commitments have not been met. Alex was on first on the outside courts. They could have used filler for 30 minutes then went this his match when it started but instead all they said if you want to continue watching switch to Stan and then showed Mrs Maple. Just didnt make any sense.

There’s not coverage on every court there and Stan is there and there’s other means too. Can’t say I’m planning to watch whoever is on 9, rarely do in the AO until the second week. They covered matches while it was raining it wasn’t ideal but they did. Were able to cover Rybakina and that’s the main thing anyway

Fair, honestly thought I heard something that's all.

I have the tennis channel and I love their coverage, really like Martina Nav as an analyst and Marion Bartoli is close to my favourite commentator

Yeah, I have access to the tennis channel as well and do their love their coverage generally all year round. Some random commentators I'm not a fan of but most are good and do bring in some different players/commentators (more Petokvic please). It's only because Stan's coverage is so good I don't need to use it for the French.

Yeah Andrea is fantastic best one on there probably

interested to see how Sofia Kenin goes on Centre Court tonight first up. She is playing the local Garcia first up.

It’s on Garcia’s racquet- she doesn’t make errors can’t see Kenin winning BUT that’s a big if. I’ve followed Garcia enough lol

Does Tennis Channel have all courts available to view?

On Redmi Note 8 Pro using BigFooty.com mobile app

They have their focused matches I wouldn’t be bothered on the outside ones mainly. Most of the ones I like are on the main courts

How come every grand slam rains in the first few days except for AO. ****ing shitholes

Almost like it’s an outdoor sport and any rain on clay you cannot play on unlike other surfaces

Stan needs subs.

I thought this would happen when they got the rights to all the majors to be honest.

Same here. But it’s weird they advertised most of the night would be covered and now it’s only a few hours. And the ratings haven’t been that bad either.

Its 2024, all slams should be free to watch, you shouldnt have to subscribe to Stan to watch

French and US Open was on Fox exclusively for a number of years and the coverage was a lot worse and you paid a lot more.

Quite thankful for Stan
