I thought Stevens needed to come in as the midfield has been struggling the last few weeks and something had to be tried, but he demanded after that performance to never be picked again. He's shown signs but has never put it together and at his age he almost certainly won't.

as we know, an inablity to retain the ball will lead us nowhere. so in the first final Dunkley, Jong, Clay, Hrovat and Koby need to be reduced to an absolute maximum of two players, but i'd rather it be one.

Macrae, Libba, Stringer, Mclean, Roughead, Wood in

Clay, Hrovat, Koby, Dunkley, Jong, Minson out

simple.

Keep Dunkley and take Williams out. Not knocking Bailey he will be a star, but think Dunkley ahead of him.

I was about to get onto that.
Ok, I am thinking about the wording here, Dal not a good day, but you cannot bag him for his year, Hunter was running in circles all day, we got enough of the ball, but we lacked purpose when going forward, but that has been happening most of the year. JJ had a shocker, his form has been indifferent of late, but if we are going into the finals with this team then don't worry about it. Will be 5 or 6 changes, has to be.

what an absolute utter garbage performance from the footy club. Failure to get the boys up or down to their optimal arousal levels which is on the club.

as fans we just suffered humiliation and garbage for 2 hours. Genuinely that was the worst footy weekend of my life and i'm f***ing filthy. I seriously have nothing good inside after that s***house junk time cute performance.

Dunkley's tackling aside, I have no time for Dunkley, Clay, Stevens, Jong and Hrovat right now. Just dumb, s***house ball users all of them that combined today to sabotage any sane persons enjoyment in watching professional footy.

Minson see ya later, thanks for a couple of really good seasons, s*** way to go out but it's over.

The umpiring helped send me to the edge and the missed handballs over and over eventually got me there. I'm now a pancake.

IN all seriousness, disgracefully poorly umpired game. The deliberate a decent example, but they genuinely were three more freo players out there today.

And hats off to an administration i have lost all respect for. Freo you tanking pieces of s*** have got no one fooled and you wasted a s*** load of peoples time this year. Not really worthy of Pav but certainly worthy of muck like Colin Young and the AFL.

F*** off!!!!!
Mmm melty. Clay kicked a quarter? Of our goals.

Were the Dogs a bit hasty to sign Beveridge to an extension? A defensive oriented coach ala Ross Lyon but has no clue in coaching his team to score?

The dogs had issues scoring from inside 50s last year and nothing has improved.

The Dogs need a massive upgrade in the Ruck and midfielders who can kick the ball to a target (I don't care what y'all think, Boomer Harvey is perfect for this role and would be a great mentor for Daniel).

Bring on 2017.
We didn't have an issue scoring last year? Realistically, looking at the age and experience of this team, we shouldn't be anywhere near finals. But yet we are. We'll play our second elimination final in two consecutive years, with our injuries, while blooding young talent, like Williams & Dunkley in their very first years of AFL football, let alone the rest of our players that the vast majority of which are <25.

Our fit midifield of Bont, Macrae, Wallis, Libba can hit a target pretty well in my opinion. I'd say that's our best midfield, well fully fit, BUT, only one of them is playing.

Changes: Out: Williams, Hrovat, Stevens, Minson, Cordy, Dunkley In: Stringer, Wood, Liberatore, Macrae, Adams, Roughead

Stevens has been very disappointing this year after having what I thought was a pretty solid 2015 up until he got injured. Looks like a completely different player in the way he disposes and makes decisions.

I agree sadly that Stevens isnt up to it. Throw in Hrovat, Jong and Minson and there's 4 players to make cap room. We desperately need another tall to play a CHF role and another mid-forward who has pace and good kicking action.

Z Cordy should stay though, he does deserve another year to improve, Roberts is skating on thin ice

Even more simple: Out Williams, Cordy, I would keep Smith as he is our only tough player, and Adams will be back, as we need some height and muscle down back.

We leaked far too much last year, so defence was his priority over the past off season. I hope offence is the focus this off season. Im happy to give him another year to focus on scoring.

I'm waiting for someone to say it was the loss/kick up the arse we needed.

May throw the toys out of the cot when I do...

Clearly, most of the team were crap tonight but going through our list the following senior players are still uncontracted for next year:
Matthew Boyd; Josh Prudden; Joel Hamling; Lin Jong; Clay Smith; Will Minson; Koby Stevens; Nathan Hrovat; Tom Campbell. For most of them this is no surprise.
I understand Jong has been offered a 2 year contract but I've lost faith that he can improve enough to be worth keeping.
Campbell will probably be retained due to Minson's imminent departure. Hamling showed that he is worth keeping at least as backup. I hope Moyd agrees to a 1 year offer. The rest: well, these guys have glaring weaknesses and I don't believe will improve. The night of the long knives is approaching.

I can see five of six changes.

Wood, Stringer, Roughead, Macrae, Dale/Webb/Honeychurch, Campbell, take your pick.

Libba any chance?

We turn up with those changes and a better attitude and we are a different side.

But he needs to be playing forward not half a game in the ruck or more especially when he is basically the sole kpf.

We need to play both Campbell and Roughead first final so toyd can stay forward.

Can't agree on Dickson took a couple of strong marks under heavy pressure, has not reached the heights of last year but you add stringer and Crameri into that forward line with at least one kpf Dickson cops less heat and will be back to a close to 2 goal a game player
What crap, if we didn't have Dicko we would have only scored 3 goals for the game, Dickson is a doer, always putting in.
