B: Duffield, Silvagni, Grover
HB: Broughton, McPharlin, Suban
C: Hill, Lower, Fyfe
HF: De Boer, Pavlich, McPhee
F: Ballentyne, Bradley, Mayne
Foll: Aaron Sandilands, Mundy, Barlow
I/C: Mzungu, Clarke or Griffin, Morabito, O Maera
Emerc/Unlucky: Roberton, Pitt, Mellington, Anthony, Faulks, Ibbotson, Waters, Sibosado

I'd like going for O Maera and our existing players to become/stay good or better. And Clarke to replace Johnson. Mainly because I don't like/rate all other trade rumours. Still, somewhere in the backline we need that small defender. Probably in Grover's place, even I'd love him to go on. But I have not yet come a across someone possible, so perhaps through the draft? Any good mature recruits available? Or Van Berlo stepping up? Don't think it will be a 18 year old...

Rest of list to be filled through draft, happy for any good player replacing someone...

O'Meara isn't eligible to play in 2012.

not trollin guys but why Jack Anthony not playing in the forward line? he's a good third tall, or is there just soemthing Im missing? does he not train well or something..

Anthony, Pavlich, Clark/clarke/sandi would be pretty hard to match up on.

hope you guys take the next step next year :thumbsu:

because he was played most of the year forward and it didnt really work. when he was put back, he dominated. he was originally drafted by the pies as a backman, so he seems more suited to that at this stage. his field kicking out of the backline is sublime

Based on limited game-time this year Anthony looked far more composed in the backline. I would expect (or hope, based on Harvey continually playing players out of position) that he would be persisted with down back.

Furthermore, with Pavlich hopefully returning to the forward line and the likely arrival of Clark, Mayne would be the most obvious candidate play for the third tall role. Mayne applies more defensive pressure than Anthony up forward and with Grover only getting older there is a real opportunity for Jack to cement his spot in the back six.
