Because in his personal life he’s the *******, privileged type he comes across as? Being smart and successful doesn’t mean you aren’t a moron behind closed doors. Not to mention the sense of immunity that money and power can cultivate.
Getting away with one of the biggest rorts in Australian corporate history would give you a fair sense of invincibility

It's actually reasonably easy to hack an account on that platform, but to be able to retrieve it so quickly, not so much

Who knows if he was hacked or not, but it does sound suspicious, especially the chain of events
I find it hard to believe a hacker would be so targeted of a particular person and image. One of the two main hypotheses listed here would be it

A "hack" traditionally is 3-6 posts over about 5-10 minutes.

They first is usually the most cutting, the hacker having had time to think, after that they are usually increasingly vulgar and silly.

First acknowledgement of a hack usually comes from a different account, a friend or official account saying "we are aware that this account has been accessed by an unauthorized person"

Then it's over.

This is a almost instaneous recovery, delete and explanation, which fits a lot better with, I was trying to DM a woman I know professionally a dick pic

Smart is not an adjective that I'd use to describe Luke Sayers. The more I listen to him speak at press conferences and club events, the more I become convinced that the man is a complete fool. Your typical Sayers' speech includes at least a dozen examples of improper use of affixation, fragmented sentences, and lots of blather. We should've dumped him after the PWC scandal.

Absolutely outrageous that he sent a semi-flaccid pic, I mean come on. Give yourself a chance.

You're right. He's President of the Carlton Football Club. Where's the Big D energy?

For anyone keen on a description of said photo. Source: Reddit.
I got sent a screen shot of his post. With his ... tackle... blurred out.

I've never seen his belly and chest before. But it's 100% how I imagine it would look like 🤣.

Less than zero percent chance he was hacked. What did they do hack his account? Then somehow hack his phone and take just that one picture he was dumb enough to leave on his phone. Then he gets his account back in 10 minutes...

Nah. He just goofed up bigger than he could ever imagine. He will be regretting that one forever.

Why does anyone? I've never understood. The risk / reward ratio is really skewed towards the risk side of the equation.

Presumably it's to keep getting pics back the other way right?

I agree with others - he should just quit.

For those saying there is no proof - true..... but:

The first thing a hacker would do is make it impossible for you to get your account back (change backup details, etc.) Before you knew they were in. Then they would do something that benefits them. Usually some dodgey crypto / investment / scam related posting. Also - think about the research and creativity required to tag this specific person. Someone would have had to have researched club sponsors, then female execs at those sponsors, then found the account details of that person.

The speed of getting back into the account is a dead give-away though. It just doesn’t happen. He most likely just panicked and didn't realise how obvious that was.

Sending the pic is one thing. On its own, it's stupid and unbefitting a person in his position.
But sending a dic pic to an employee of a club sponsor is 100% a sackable offense. If that was a regular employee of the club, they would've been marched out the door today.
And on top of it, lying about it is just adding insult to injury.

He has to go. I think he's done a good job for us, but he shouldn't be allowed to survive this. Pity.

People jumping to conclusions without any facts.

I can’t for the life of me get my head around someone of his age and standing in the community doing such a stupid juvenile thing, maybe I’m very naive but I’ll wait for the facts to come out before jumping to a conclusion

He needs to step down at first hearing it i thought possible but no way in the world a photo goes up and taken off 5 Minutes later then you delete account. It take your ages to log in and then requests a new password my thinking it was suppose to be private but wasn't . I been on X and it easy to stuff it and not see what you posted also every time i use it ask to verify it me. They make you solve a puzzle then ask for username then you get to do your email and password plus you get a email directly We noticed a login to your account from a new device. Was this you? The weird part Location was interstate. I only use X because the Funniest guy The Prepared Mind does his videos

This.

IMO - The possibility of him receiving an email that the account was used by an unknown device (hacker) and then he signed on immediately to remove any content is possible. Not saying it’s true but possible, especially since he is overseas.

He really only got away with the PwC stuff because he continued to argue that he knew nothing. In my mind, that either made him disingenuous or incompetent. It is no surprise he’s trying the “dog ate my homework” excuse again. Let’s see if he gets away with it this time.

Knock yourself out "behind closed doors", but when you are a prominent person, dont have stuff on your phone as it will one day become public either via a hack or through sheer stupidity. I am not naive enough to not think people do kinky stuff, have affairs etc, there are consequences though and people aren't stupid enough to believe BS when presented as such.
Phone are dangerous so having half naked or naked stuff of you can automatically link to a social sites like X, Facebook , Twitter it save to google drive it just takes one wrong move with finger . I say if you do weird shit like that buy a camera old school then give it to that person when you see them never post it live it could end up anywhere.
