The Blakey and Longmire issues are just more examples of Sydney doing bugger all and reaping every conceivable benefit. In the same way salary cap management is entirely optional, developing their own players past 100 games is optional when they can hire other ex players as casino dealers and take kids they never deserved.

I personally think he would be in the AFL, either for you guys or Brisbane, but he wouldn't have had as good exposure to proper opposition and as a result he probably would be behind in development so instead of being a likely 1st round pick he would have probably been a 3rd rounder.

The TAC cup & the Vic schools are the envy of the rest of the comp. If anything, Blakey has been hampered by playing against the spuds in NSW.

I got banned for much less then RUNVS is writing right now, and the poster he/she isnt posting anything worthy of a thread ban.

To be honest I have no idea what you were banned for but I should point out I am not a mod on the Swans board and I have no say on who is and who is not banned, just like I did not have a say on the Australian government refusing to legalise gay marriage for way longer than it should have.

I was having a conversation with you when I was banned....

RUNVS why haven’t you answered this after you stated

What question do you want me to answer?

Are you fair dinkum?

I am half asleep but I’ll give it a go.

I responded with,

and I agree with you. I also think that there are a lot of teen boys in NSW that would have been picked up by an AFL team if they were in the Victorian system. Rampe is a great example as he is undoubtably a very good player, but because he is from NSW he almost never got drafted simply because no recruiter ever noticed him.

A kid with talent is more likely to be drafted in Victoria than a kid with the same talent and potential who lives in NSW.

If the league was fair dinkum about maximising the number of NSW kids being identified early and developed properly they would've retained the league-wide recruitment access to NSW youth that were in place for all clubs prior to the franchises entering the picture.

The current system is just a rort for the TV license funded clubs.

Almost certainly would have,

Then why in the f*** should an academy that is designed for those kids who would never really consider the game have rights to him?

Just another concessions in a long line of concessions for a franchise the AFL don't want to fail.

Yep.

They can bang on about 'how well the club is run' and their 'bloods culture', but the facts of the matter are that the deck is stacked in their favour.

DC asked you for a root!

Gees im not struggling that much.

All I did was go to their academy thread and ask a couple of questions, I must admit RUNVS was being ok, sort of reminds me of that Collingwood Trade Draft poster, very similar mindset. I asked a couple of questions about Blakey and I had some Sydney posters just jump on me, someone who is such a dog they know it so go by the name of kelpie and some other mouth breathers that just started carrying on with the usual low brow ‘Norf’ stuff and then their mod banned me before I could even respond.

It was like the teaches pet starting an argument and then dobbing before there’s any chance of retaliation.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I thought that was what I read but I could well be wrong. giantroo am I wrong?
here is what the SA and WA clubs get:
