Out of all of them I'd try to get Jeremy Cameron if he wants to come back home. Yes he would cost and there is always a chance that a senior player might be squeezed out to make room and I'm not saying Coleman-Jones won't make it (although if he does it might still be primarily as a ruckman). But if there is one thing that we have learnt in the past two seasons is that if you have two elite tall key forwards in a high quality well drilled side you are almost unbeatable. Only our club can claim that at the moment, it's just such an advantage you'd try to move heaven and earth to keep it if you can.

Its still not as much as they are giving up
12+18+16 ?

gws recently traded a futre first to move up 2 spots...

6 ---> 4 ...

Hunter Clark from the Saints to replace Houli on a half back flank. Pinching him from the Saints wont be that hard.

Jordan Clarke from Geelong would be handy.

15 pick last year...

he played 18 games though so he might be tough to get

Tom Green is a no brainer, will come into the team when Cotchin retires and we have some cap space freed up.

GWS are wasting their time thinking about this kid but hey if they want to invest a couple of years in developing him then that's cool.
Should just get Green to come out on national television.Stop wasting yours & my time. It's Tiger Time for me.

How is it exactly that if we could lever a spare 800k in our tpp we d spend it on another key forward , you don’t rate lynch and jack and what we got coming through from our vfl premiership,,,,,,would be the last thing we d do

I think he looks pretty invested at the lions , the revolving door days up there might be behind them
Especially now that the govt is building a new stadium for them

To say I don't rate Jack is idiotic, however he will be approaching 33 years of age when Cameron arrives. To pretend otherwise is pure fantasy. As for not rating what's coming through the VFL, well both Balta and Coleman-Jones were already on the list but that didn't stop us recruiting Tom Lynch did it? Both may make it, but there is no guarantee either will though as key forwards.

Yes it would cost, probably a really good player would have to move on, but I think we all saw this year what adding a 65 goal a year player does for a side. No Tom Lynch especially with Jack having been injured for so much of this year would have meant no premiership. Securing Cameron if he was available and if he wanted to come to Richmond would be the first thing we'd do. You just don't so no to elite tall forwards that want to come to you. They are that rare and that valuable, midfielders by contrast are a dime a dozen. That's assuming of course you are still in the business of wining premierships. I hope we still are.

At the end of 2021 Edwards(33) Rance(32) & Riewoldt(33) could possibly retire at end of this season. While Astbury(30) & Grimes(30) Vlastuin(27) & KMac(27) all qualify as free agents.

We also have CCJ Rioli Prestia Soldo Higgins Castagna Baker Chol Balta Naish Bolton Stack & this years draftees all coming out of contract.
hope we dont do a hawks and buy broken down shit trucks . im fine with bottoming out for 2-3 years and then rising again to win multiple flags

the club knows how to do it properly now

Rance-Will go at the end of 2020 no matter what.Have a feeling this year would have if he played in the GF.
Doubt it, he extended his contract til the end of 2021 just 12 months ago.

Cotch & Astbury will go sooner rather than later.Cotch with family life & Dave's body will have a huge say.2021 for both.
Cotchin extended his contract until the end of 2022 at the same time as Rance.

Kelly ideal Cotch replacment
Allir ideal Astbury replacement.
Kelly ain't fit to carry Cotch's bag. One of the more overrated show ponies of the league, invisible in the granny.

Allir won't leave Sydney.

Hunter Clark from the Saints to replace Houli on a half back flank. Pinching him from the Saints wont be that hard.
Yes, it will.

With that sort of line up could I could just imagine our salary cap being 20 million over budget....

Rance being injured and missing the GF could work in our favor.

I think we all know that he wasn't likely to stay much longer, but sitting on the sidelines during a GF might have reminded him of the old adage "you're a long time retired". The idea of leaving and seeing the boys salute while he sat in the stands knowing he had another year or two in him and could have been there might inspire him to squeeze every last moment out of the game while he can.

Anyone want to bet Dimma & Balme will have had a word and planted that idea in his head already?

what made u say that . what was said
Page 110 of KM's Stronger & Bolder...rance is talking to KM about his previous injuries, fractured cheekbone, broken foot, rolled ankle, you wanted to get back in but their wasn't the same urgency!
It's different now! I just want to be out there with the boys! It's fun!...
Rance wanted to walk away from footy in 2015, but Richmond was a very different place then!
