Game day information leaked by Dogs player to Adelaide before Elimination Final

Why are people getting up in arms about it like we are trying to deflect from the loss?

Your clubs would do the same
Welcome to the seedy shennanigans of the Adelaide Crows.

You're either trolling or just lazy. The club has already stated (as can be read on the first page of thread and various media outlets) that they believe it had no bearing on the outcome of the match.

But they're happy to let the media fan the flames of the story, still.

No they are defending their integrity, not 'fanning the flames of the story', you compete idiot.

What do you think they should do, pretend it didn't happen? Let Talia get away with it??

Ignore my avatar for a moment. But will the Crows or the player cop a sanction? I guess the player probably has something written in their contract?
Only way I see Adelaide being sanctioned is if we were found to have bribed or coerced information from this player.

If we were simply told certain things indirectly that isn't something we can control although you could question why we didn't report it but even so I don't think that it is strictly against the rules for us to not say anything, dishonest yes but not illegal.

The thing is Adel keep hurting their reputation by repeatly causing scandals that they could had easily avoided.

The real question is how will this affect them long term with the other clubs rather than what the AFL will do towards any possible sanctions (doubt that will occur).

Was there really anything noticeable unexpected/different tactically, or any real gap between the sides on the day? Watching the game, I didn't think so.

Really, I think the Bulldogs need to just admit they lost a close game that could have gone either way, and move on.

Yeap, because Damon_3388's trained eye couldn't notice anything out of order, so the Bulldogs should just let it all go. Who cares if a player and AFL team possibly brought a finals game into disrepute.

If a tree falls in a forest and Damon_3388 doesn't hear it, then did the tree even exist in the first place? Maybe we should just admit that trees don't exist and just move on.

But they're happy to let the media fan the flames of the story, still.

How dare they. Next time they want to investigate any wrong doing they should firstly consult Damon_3388 to confirm if he noticed anything unusual. They should now apologize to Talia and offer him a contract extension.

Will be interesting how this one ends up.

My guess - insufficient evidence, no charge but a warning to the player and club involved.

AFL sweeps another issue under that ******* huge rug they have.

I've got an old rug that I'm about to ditch? Should I run it by AFL house to see if they are interested before heading to the tip?

By publically blaming the players and having their captain having to defend himself and the players via the media.

That's the crappy thing with the media slinging mud.

They claimed that we sacked Sando because of the players weren't happy with him. We responded that we had spoken to all stakeholders and while yes, that included the players, they weren't the 'reason' we sacked him.

Media takes that and runs with "Crows confirm they sacked Sando because of players'.

I think you need to revisit the facts my friend before throwing stones. It is clear from this post you know what you are talking about and you just wish to turn this into the Dangerfield going to Geelong thread on your board.
