Watching Thomas and Kornes with the ball in their hands at a stoppage is like watching an pyromanic with a crate of Redheads setting the GPS for Cleland National Park.

Credit where its due, we played it out and had a strong 2nd half. I think most of us were expecting 10 goals+ at 1/2 time.

Happy with our game. First half was not good but our second half was very pleasing as we made a good side in West Coast really work for their win. So some positives to take from the game. Still alot needs to be fixed as well.

Pettigrew was just as shit when Cripps was forward coach. The fact that he is in the side just makes zero sense. He's a useless spud.

At least we have some positives though. That second half was very good. IF WE DROP PETTIGREW BECAUSE HE'S A USELESS SPUD then I have a good feeling about next week.

Oh, and Pettigrew is a useless spud. Not sure if I mentioned that.

Good second half effort. But the Pettigrew-LeCras matchup killed us in the first half. Pettigrew and Pittard were awful in defence today. Pittard has a bit of Pettigrew about him, which is a concern. The Grew should not play next week - has had a very average season for a player who's played so many games this year.

Brogan was good, but got worn down by the end. Pearce was our best IMO. Boak was value for touches. Carlile impressed me today. Chaplin ok, but it just doesn't work for us with him as the loose man in defence. Trengove solid enough. Logan excellent yet again - what a great year he's had. Thought Gray and Hartlett did some nice things in close. Cassisi was tireless, as was Thomas who continually lets himself down with stupidity - worst decision maker we have in the side.

Not enough over 4 quarters from Schulz, Westhoff or D. Stewart.

Still, we played it out to the end. Arguably our best loss for the season, which is something, considering we've now had 10 of them.

Thomas' inside work today was fantastic. + he's the best tackler in the side(along with Cassisi).

dare I say it, we've turned a corner, Richmond then against Carlton and now a good performance bar the start against West Coast, we are definitely improving and should give the bottom 8 teams a good shake and beat a few. I think we are a very good chance against North next week if we bring the intensity and determination we brought today home.

Good effort today boys...happy with that.....always going to be hard....

Lots of positives out of that game...

Typical bipolar performance today. The pleasing aspect of the game was that the players didn't give up in the 4th quarter and persisted all game, which is definitely an improvement upon last week. Fact remains tho that you're not going to beat any team in the AFL if you're only scoring 26 points in a half.
Kornes, Pettigrew, and Phillips should never play again- Give Kane a farewell game along with Chad for their services but other than that i never want to see any of those players pull on a guernsey again.

His tackling and aggression is beyond dispute. But with the ball in his hands? I'd rather he be Christy Brown.

Players like him exist in every team. And it's not just his aggression when I say inside work. It's the ability to win the ball, shrug a tackle and give the ball off to someone else.
