Kelly may have ****ed up a couple of handball’s but at least he chase’s out of the front half .
Perkins chase non existent. Guelfi looks like a 1960 Massey Ferguson . Wright slower than than me and I have not run since 2005 .

They're clearly at a point of trying to out if Kelly has a future anywhere else in the side. Maybe his papers are stamped.
If they are still working this out we have the wrong people in charge

Not much fuel in tank. They look spent. Competing is going to take some adjustment. Mentally and physically. B game is the default.

Do any of our players even know what a gym is. As always we just get knocked aside by phsically bigger and stronger opponents. I regularly criticize our medical and conditioning departments, but obviously I have made a huge mistake here. We
don’t have a medical or conditioning departmen.

Guelfi tries hard but has really limited footy smarts. Kelly tries just as hard but just isn't clean enough with the ball.

Our skills just aren't clean enough, and considering they are belting us in he clearances we aren't making up for it at the contest either.

This is grim

Something is still rotten at Essendon. Prolonging the hope of finals for another week is pointless, GWS and Collingwood will flog us in the last two weeks anyway. The lower we finish the more magic beans the Dodo can get us. That should be the focus.

If you are going to be a soft front running team at least have good disposal.

I could tolerate shit disposal if you had just won a hard contested ball but just absolutely abhorrent use in paddocks of space is not AFL standard.
Which makes sense, our fitness isn't AFL standard either.

McGrath I've had just about enough of.
Poor decisions, poor skills panic merchant.
Not the only one in this side but possibly the most disappointing

McGrath seems devoid of options and calm. Same hack kick or panicked handball every time

Ah yes, some more first round picks for Dodo to waste

And you wonder what’s rotten at Essendon lol

One advantage to us sucking right before end of season is it allows Scott & co to see deficiencies on the list, and make hard calls at end of season. I’m hopeful that this was a season for Scott to assess the list, and then things will change more from next year.

turns out the only thing I dislike more than kelly in the back line is kelly outside of the back line

well that and guelfi but his approx. 27 career goals from the goal square means he's got a spot for life or something.

but honestly I think these horrid performances against NM and WC to date are kind of a good thing. imagine if we actually made the finals because we percentage boosted our way into it against these teams. good grief. may as well get a better draft pick and fixture for next season and keep us a little bit grounded.

also i don't know what the scout report is, but Tsatas seems to be a really good marker of the ball? that would add a really cool dynamic to the midfield. i'm no scientist but the kicking seems a bit off though

We made the lowest scoring side last week look a million bucks and now the second lowest scoring side in the comp look like the Harlem globetrotters

this bloody club
At least we are making McKay look good 👍

It is so embarrassing following Essendon. I don't like footy enough, or more to the point don't have the time, to dedicate the hours that is required to watch 5 or 6 games a week, so I am typically watching Essendon's game and maybe one other each week. So this is the crap I'm forced to endure.

FFS, it is meant to be an even competition so there are cycles where your list comes together, then ages, and is then rebuilt. I admit that I was spoiled seeing quality team after quality team from 1983 to 2004, but since then it has been misstep after misstep, and teams either built with solid bodies and no leg speed, or some flashy skilled teams that are young and skinny so getting pushed off the ball. We've never had a KPF who can run and provide a target in different positions. In that time we've seen Collingwood, Geelong, and a few others rebuild 3 quality teams.

Essendon built a huge supporter base from the baby boomers who grew up with the success of the 50s and 60s and then their kids (my generation) enjoying the 80s and 90s. Going to watch Essendon meant you would see quality teams and competition. Now it means enduring highly paid and marketed mediocracy. The supporter base will dwindle, because I am going to have to make a decision soon. I am nearly 50 years old and will be nearly dysfunctional in 20 years time if I'm lucky enough to not have cancer or some other debilitating disease before then. So how do I want to spend that time? I'm not going to watch a sport if I'm not invested in a team and I'd bring myself to be a turncoat.

Pull your finger out Essendon (the whole club) or I'm out of here.

I'm at a similar point with McGrath. He just doesn't do much. I'm never confident he'll break lines. I'm never surprised when he turns it over. He's just... stale.

I’ve decided to have the same attitude as the players / coaching staff / people in charge of the club and be more relaxed about losing. It really does do wonders, now I know why they’ve had this attitude for so long ☺️👌

2 rucks and Peter Wright isn't a good strategy.

I hope they realise this.

I hope they realise that Bryan is not the one to sit out of the trio.
