Got me cheeses, dips, crackers & scotch ready. Nice day to sit on the couch in front of the telly. Not expecting much so should be a chilled viewing.

Fair dinkum - reading the Collingwood Board this morning hurts my head. Some are complaining about the 12.40 start time  Are the 18 home games not enough? Seriously

Here we go again. I'm excited. It's like Christmas morning. Get really excited but don't know if I'll get a present I will like. Have to be mentally prepared for some disappointment.

Given our respective spots on the ladder, I'd think we've done okay if we lose by somewhere between 4 and 5 goals - an honourable loss.

My fear is that it could be worse unless we are really switched on.

Mick Malthouse has just set himself up for the 2nd half session!

Here is the script that these games always follow! We come out playing great footy, outplaying Collingwood but not hurting them where it hurts the most, on the scoreboard.

We go into the half time break feeling good about ourselves and in front. Collingwood comes out after half time, go man to man and turn the game on its head with an outstanding 3rd quarter and just take control of it.

We come back to some respectable form in the 4th quarter and lose a close game.

Didak always plays brilliantly against us. We will go close with them for a first half, Pies will blow the game open in the 3rd quarter and then Malthouse will put on Didak just to put that foot on our throat.

Despite Didak being out of form, he will get back into it this game and finish us off. No matter how much he is stinking up the joint, he always plays well against us.

Good thing for us though is that Sauce should win the ruck contest convincingly hopefully, our midfielders take it from there but I suspect that Collingwood have planned playing to the losing rucks.

Remember boys and girls.

Collingwood last year
St kilda last year
Geelong last year
Hawthorn this year

Our young boys step it up against the best but can't handle the mental pressure against the weaker teams, I think this match will be close, we could even win.

Lets go !

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Dock, I mean Coloni, I meal Tel, I mean Etihad Stadium for today's big match between what Footy Wars described as traditional rivals Collingwood and Adelaide.

Both teams are coming into this game in ordinary form. Collingwood coming off a loss (shock horror), while the Crows rebounded from their disgraceful effort against Melbourne with a nothing win over the Gold Coast.

Still, Collingwood have had a great season, with no premiership hangover out of their Westpac Centre, while our Westpac Centre is a shambles atm.

However, the Crows have a tendecy to lift against the stronger sides. We lost by a kick against Collingwood last time they played in round 21 last year, and in fact 3 of the last 4 games between the two sides have been decided by less than 1 goal.

The only motivating factor I have for a potential Crows win is the fact we have been competitive against them in the past, but would not be surprised if a Melbourne-esque result resulted.

Stay tuned though as at half time I will finally get around to tallying up the POTY, BTM and ROTY votes from the Gold Coast 'win' - if nothing else it'll be a morale booster on the board :D
