Reilly had a good defensive game, but has to get more of the ball or he's only fulfilling half his purpose. Montagna was well held, but I'm guessing he still got double the amount of ball that Radar got.

Reilly - 10 disposals
Montagna - 17

Also, Reilly got his hands on the ball in heaps of stoppages, but was "wrapped up" in congestion so no disposal. He was hard at it tonight

Beat you to it chief ;)

Just looked at the stats...Reilly with 10 disposals, Montagna with 17. Less than what I thought for Radar, but waaaaaay less than what you'd expect from Joey, so a win for Reilly there.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not, but we had about half a dozen guys who played well below their potential and yet still ran out fairly comfortable winners against quality (albeit out of form) opposition.

Davis (injured)
Walker
Martin
McKernan (after half time)
Henderson
Reilly

All of these guys were well below their best. Martin in particular has been sub-standard...what happened to that line breaking livewire from round 22 last year

Radar ????, its not all about possessions, his job on Montanga was very good considering Montanga's early season form.

Martin, considering he has been a sub on couple of occassions I think we need to give him a week or two to settle into the side.....

Walker, Sunday Arvo at the G, Ill have him in mide side...

Hendo, I thought he worked hard tonight and was much better than last week, he's not far from a big game

The point was more that we could've smashed them with a more even contribution across the board.

I've conceded on Radar - could still do more to hurt the opposition the other way (which he normally does), but he did a fantastic defensive job.

Martin will need a spell if he doesn't turn the corner soon, might even be this week if Sloane comes up.

Walker has been one of our better players this season, so no concerns there.

Still not convinced that Hendo was that good, just better compared to previous weeks.

That knee jarring in the pre-season? Might just be feeling a bit tentative? Doesn't seem so inclined to take off the moment he has the ball. Or could that be a instruction from the coach?

In previous weeks I had noticed him playing more of a stopping role at times, which I don't really think is the way to go for Martin. Can't wait for Petrenko to be fit and firing so that he can take care of this sort of stuff.

I dunno, kinda think that Tambling is where Martin needs to be in terms of our setup, but these things have a way of working themselves out.

Really, really impressed by Matty Jaensch tonight. Move to half back has worked a treat.

20 possessions off half back at 95% kicking efficiency, 6 rebound 50's (most of anyone on the ground), 3 inside 50's = win for me. EXACTLY what we need! Beautiful polish.

Dissapointed we let them rally - it got scary at times, but great to see us fight back.

I'm really starting to think Craig is right about us. As the Pies wane in a few years time, We will rise. We are just like them... Brilliantly skilled, hard runners. Reminds me very much of the pies a few years ago.

We just lack top-end talent through the middle. Need a few to develop into guns.

Have excellent tall talent though. And that's always much more difficult to find.

Dangerfield will be an absolute jet, and guys like Rory Sloane will be exceptional players once they bulk up a bit.

I'm pumped. Great win!

He was freaking sublime! Such kicking skills are rarely seen these days, just beautiful to watch, a long raking, accurate, penetrating kick! He was great. :thumbsu:
