Hopefully we both make finals in September. Finals aren't the same with the two toughest and most passionate teams in the league.

We're 5 and 8 with an interstate trip coming and we never win those. 5 and 9 is curtains unfortunately.

Nah not gone yet but geez it makes it tough. We have too many passengers at the moment and the break could not come at a better time. It will be great to get hille back, gumby desperately needs the week off. Pears is all out of sorts at the moment..anyone else agree? Appears hes not reading the play as well. Time for zaka to be played more as a midfielder i feel, bring back in reimers to play forward and maybe elevate muscles for his skills around the stoppages as we were outclassed there tonight. Oh and slattery....seya! I will help clear out his locker.

When will we get some luck with the umpires? week after week. Razor ray..surely he was adopted.

Was a good game and thought you guys had us early in the fourth... I just hoped for the fight I saw against Port and then the Crows and it came through... and actually I have to agree we got a bit of a rub of the green... but they were pretty much all there... I think this was more a game of consistency form the umpires rather than paying what wasn't there... Essendon got away with a couple throws that led to goals... so it can go both ways.

I really do love to hate Essendon Love the rivalry.

I actually think both coaches out-coached and were out-coached.

A really good coach would have won that a little more easily for mine.

Hawks & Bombers are middle of the road. either side will get smashed by Geelong come September. I'm talking 10 goal losses, both teams.

Man..shut up!..do yourself a favour, watch the replay and they are so eager to pay 50-50 free kicks to the hawks.

Im not saying we would have won the game but some consistency please. These guys are professionals and get paid accordingly.
One example.. davey going back slaps murphys arms..free kick but 15 mins muston did the same thing on fletcher..nothing. They are so heavily involved in the game nowadays its a shame.

there is nothing worse than people who complain about umpiring.

Agree. We'll get hyped up for winning 6 in a row (Which is a great effort) but we're still a step below the big boys sadly.

Despite is probably being on of Hurley's worst games of his career and you can still tell the boy will be an absolute star.

You do realise that due to his back surgery he was banned from any form of heavy weights? He will get his chance to build up come next pre-season, until then just be glad he's getting plenty of games under his belt.

Thought the umpires were pretty good overall. Few bad paid calls both ways/ few bad missed calls both ways (of course I think we got the short end of the stick ).

But i thought they paid the holding the ball, too high and in the back the best I've seen all season. People weren't being penalised for taking possession. HOpefully that means they've been told to change interpretation

Umpiring was fine, in that it was terrible both ways.

We lost the game twice. First quarter and a bit, and then buddy. The looked gone until he got those goals.

It was hard to take, because I felt we had it. Ah well.

Bombers seemed to spend to many tickets in the third catching up which stood hfc well in the last ten minutes.

Umpiring was inconsistent both ways.

Dont give up Bombers we where 1 and 6, I blinked and we are in the eight.

Bombers are way better than many teams above them.
