My point still stands...a player can still win the Gary Ayres Award and not play 4 Finals matches, they can play 3 Finals matches and win it, they just need to play really well and get a high number of votes.

This is true. But, extending this, a player could win the Ayres Medal with one good final, as long as no other player has more than one good final.

Love the award but not too sure about the multiplier for GF.

The award to recognise the best player of the GF is the Norm Smith, therefore just give the usual amount of votes in the GF so it still counts, but doesn't need to skew it too much.

Yeah I agree with this.

It is a player of the finals award, that is what makes it special.
