Your are kinding yourself thinking that gdfl is on a par!!! If you read the quote clearly it said i do not repsepct players that do not step up to gfl but yet run there mouths as if there superstars, i never said anything about players who have already done so and proved themselves. There are a few players that are geniune guns that are now older and chasing the cash, but there are still alot of players that would struggle to get a game in a top 6 GFL side that are awesome players in the gdfl
who really cares what you actually think anyway pal, i love watching gdfl and go most weeks to watch Thomson. i watched gfl, sure its a great standard but 70% of blokes have their heads up their own arse along with supporters.
anyway, good win by Thommy on the weekend, missing Costello and Maheras and with MacLeod down in the 1st minute and Wallace not long after to beat flag favourites was a massive effort.

obviously only very early days but seems as though bph, banno and thomsom look certs for finals and the other 2 spots open for about 5 others. north looking good but need to be tested against a top side so they are the uncertain ones as with corio. east should lift and a few other sides looking as though they can match it with the better sides. Any thoughts?

As for me being an embarrassment to Belmont, I'll let the club and it's members decide that. They all know I wear my heart on my sleeve and will defend he club to the hilt. Are you actually involved anywhere, or just take potshots from behind a computer screen in your bedroom? We are both telling the truth, not that I need to justify what I have said.

this whole thing started because u flipped out about people saying haami hadnt been paid, u said that he had been, but wen the bloke is heard on radio saying he hadnt been paid, well who has egg on there face now spider. i guess i was right belmont hasnt changed a bit. The truth must be kept locked away in a vault in the clubrooms as it always has been. maybe there should be a clean out of the admin at belmont and start rebuilding the club so it can clean up its image. and just so u know im 1 of those people that hav been screwed the the belmont lions, im over it now but im just so sick of hearing that it keeps happening year after year

So was I, but rather that run away with my tail between my legs and sit behind a computer screen taking potshots, I thought I'd try and do something about it. No one ever said I'd get it right all the time, but we are a lot better off now than we were a few years ago and I'm ****ing proud of that fact. We still have away to go but we are getting there.

i havent been taking potshots, just trying 2 find out the truth. u obviously havent been trying hard enough if this sort of shit still goes on. i left cause i thought y keep getting fuked over wen i could just walk away and hav a fresh start somewhere else

You walked away. Any interest in you finding out the truth went out the door when you did that. Whether I've been trying hard enough is a matter for people who are still involved in the club, not nobodies like you. You have no right to judge if you won't have a go yourself. There are other people on this forum who know the truth because they had the decency to ask, not assume. You, however, will never be afforded that info. Enjoy listening to gossip and rumour

Its very easy to sit back and say what ever you like but give the bloke some credit he is very honest and doesnt hide behind anything.

If you REALLY have to know then front up to training tonight or their game on Saturday find Spider and Haami and ask them yourself. Or dont you have the balls to do that, prefer to hide behind the computer. I am sure Spider would be more than pleased to meet you and share an ale.

Agree "chops" why is he still going on about it. Hammi says he is owed coin, the club says he is paid up obviously there is a disconnect so let them sort it out.
He is not the first player to get shafted and wont be the last player to get shafted as clubs will continuously promise things they can't supply.
If he hasn't been properly reimbursed I think the kudos should go to Hammi as at least he is honouring his commitment.

Geelong West Vs Belmont: Lions to win quite easily
Anakie Vs Werribee: Werribee by 5 Goals.
Winchelsea Vs Nth Geelong: Winch to be competative again (good to see) But Nth should be to strong.
Thompson Vs Bannockburn: This should be Match of the round and i predict Banno in close one.
Inverleigh Vs East Geelong: East Geelong to come back to the winners list.
Corio Vs Bell Post Hill: I think Bell Post will continue their winning streak.
Thoughts??

Agree with your tips however I expect Corio to get over BPH. With 4 big outs this week it would be a massive effort for BPH to win.
IMO whoever loses in the East v Inverleigh game will not play finals in 2009 as they will be 1 and 4 so it doesn't get much bigger than that.
