herd they have lost there full forward and best onballer there the only 2 decient players they had apparently but i cant confirm for myself as i havnt seen them play in 10 years and they wernt much chop back then. but there still throwing money around to try and attract new players havnt got much yet though and your right theres probably not much left in the bank for them either

thanks buddah, last time i seen them play was when corey bissett was playing for them in the 2 and he was fat as a block of flats:D

herd there lost the only 2 good players they had
the money must be running thin. there year was suppose to last year didnt even finish in top 5 you would want to think you would after spending $70,000 on players reportably but dont quote me on that

nothing has changed i would guess you read the weekends results and his still mentioned kicking a few goals in the 2s i think i might of seen him named in the ones a couple of times to but dont quote

far out buddha your full of info, if your right? 70grand on plyers normally wins you a premiership in any league so i take it they dont spend there money well then.....:eek:

cant say to much but offered huge money to a couple of guys i know and it was big money. Unfortunately for anakie they said theres not enough money to get them to play at anakie
 
i heard some interesting news the other day but im taking it as full of **** that there are a few buissness men are keen to start up teesdale football club again and play in the GDFL?? With new sud divisions there there are more kids in the town and younger familys??? Can anyone help shead some light please. Cheers.

Corio look like they are on the move, looks like they have picked up a few players, Aitken looks a good pick up, baring his body stays sound. Should kick a few from the square. Holsi from Newcombe is a fair pickup, i think he came runners up b&f in the bfl. I think Harris is a CHF, ive heard off a couple of the corio boys he is a good grab and pretty fit. Things look on the way up at Corio.

They'd want to have deep pockets. The addy said that the 35 football clubs in and around Geelong cost Between $200000 & $250000 a year to run. Do we really need any more clubs? Anyway, why would the GDFL want them? 12 clubs is more than enough. Plus they'd have to buy their way into Raiders, What's 1/12 of 6 million?

he never played 1's and they didnt spend 70k prob around 35-40k tops the money they have spent are mainly on young blokes 17 new blokes in the one team last year that was ruined by injury and suspension they will make finals this year.

Great news about Teesdale if that is true. Would love to see Meredith Football Club resirected aswell and have four teams in the district playing. Can I also defend my selection of the top 5 of GDFL. Fair enough I forgot Hyland but I rate Spengler a better player then him. Watching many games of Spengler last year, he dominated for West and won games off his own boot. He is targeted by the opposition every week, either tagged or snipered, but still maintains a consistant effort. Put Hyland in Spenglers situation and he would succeed.

Bowyer, best ruckman in the league by far. Feeds his on-ballers all day with his tap work and reads the play extremely well. Not the fittest bloke running around but his experience and skills make up for that. Ala Dan Madden (St. Joeys).
 
We all know that Leigh Hardman (NG) and Joel Page (BPH) are playing for Lara this year?

I would think Obi was trying to say corio will be ordinary but they will still beat Centrals.

With Corio snaring the headlines, all is quiet down at thomson. I read they are making it difficult for the players wanting to leave, by rejecting their transfer requests.
Anyone with info?

Not at all chimp. The former coach going to watch Werribee under 18's in order to poach them to centrals the following year is good coaching imo. If they were good enough to play senior in which some were then they were givin every opportunity.

as far as this year goes if the players have not been contacted to start pre-season and then these same players are not granted clearances then i agree with you it's not good enough.
 
Hang on Kooley you say leave the footy talk to other who know what they are talking about. You didnt even know who Bowyer played for.

sorry you have no idea bob i know they spent over sixty and it was more like seventy and they wernt young players. who got injured and suspension thats not smart recruiting guys that are gunna get suspended theve got no idea at anakie and they will be lucky to win 5 games let alone make the 5.
