It is indeed I took him off ignore for a second just so I could read it. :thumbsu:
You wouldn't have the foggiest how to use the ignore feature.

You're as thick as two short planks.

Geelong have been unable to regenerate their list well enough to compete with Hawthorn so they've gotten desperate and thrown cash at players like Dangerfield. And once again it is their fans who will pay the price. Pretty embarrassing really.

Cool story but unsurprisingly totally wrong. We haven't thrown money at Dangerfield and are paying him well under market value. He wants to play for us because Geelong was his team growing up.

I thought it was because he's a surfer and wants to live close to Torquay? Or wasn't it because his GF has family in Geelong?

Kinda hard to keep track when you guys keep changing the story from week to week. :$

I love how Hawks flogs can't handle the fact Dangerfield wants to play for the Cats for under market value.

Geelong paid enough that they thought they were going to price Adelaide out of matching it  This after throwing the kitchen sink at Boak beforehand

Incorrect again . We paid him at a level that made him close to but not the highest paid player at the club. We went straight to the table as we knew they would match as it was what he was currently on.

They all seem like valid reasons.

We didn't even lodge a free agency offer because we knew we were paying him way under market value and the Crows would match.

Dangerfield also confirmed that all along, it was a two-horse race between Adelaide and Geelong. There was never a chance he would ditch the Crows for a Melbourne-based club.

"It didn't appeal to me at all because if I was going to come back, it was going to be to Geelong, where my family are, where the place that I love is and a really successful club.
Keep swinging champ, you're bound to be right sooner or later. :$:thumbsu:

You're missing your trademark 1963 reference. Why not put it in your sig instead? Then we won't need to remind you on the rare occasion you forget. ;)

That was a quick white flag.

I only bring that out when an obsessed Hawf starts a thread on Geelong. I've had to post it a lot more recently since the signing of one Paddy ****ING Dangerfield. ;)

You didn't lodge because Adelaide were matching all along. Your president was crying about it more than anyone. In the end he found his solution - slug the fans.

Ouch, that's 700-900K territory from 10th position on the ladder. So taking the a low to middle number, the handbaggers are forking out about 1.5 million a year for two midfielders. That's right in the Franklin/Tippett range.

Quote where our president Colin Carter was crying about it? First I've heard of it.

So he's 'way under market value' but he's a top 3 earner at the club?

:drunk:

You guys are funny.
