Hawkins beats himself. When the ball is coming in quickly and he can lead or get a ball one on one, on his terms, he is hard to stop. But the moment the contest isn't to his liking he hardly makes an effort. It's been like that for the longest time. That's why we need a player like Henry today or Ratugolea or maybe Neale who can make a contest. But overall Tomahawk is still one of our most important players.

What a win! That was one of the most intense heated wins of the season. Finals like intensity at the MCG with a lot at stake for both clubs.

What I loved the most was the fact we found ourselves down and out at 3qtr time having been run all over in the third, to lift in the last quarter and will ourselves over the line in a thriller.

We didn’t roll over, we lifted and put the heat on the contest and put Richmond’d the tigers.

How do you work that out? Against WC specifically only a week ago I saw at least two (probably more) times the long kicks to him were absolutely horrid. Totally wrongfooted him and completely to his opponents advantage. He managed to outrageously push back and mark one and bring the other to ground (had little right to). As he has most of the last ten years despite horrible ball movement and pie in the sky long bombs that do him no favours whatsoever.
