Can't see the play on the other side of the ground. No fanks.
I'd never sit anywhere else for a final if I can help it. Expensive or not.

Nothing beats level N for viewing.

Not at this time of the month..... especially being the first time since the baby

A fact potentially I should have considered first before asking
Stand tall fella and go for it..

I can tell you that the floor of the shed im posting from is not comfortable, well lit, nor good for my health. But then, its better than being in the house I pay for with the 3 females - 2 under 10 - still dark and stormy over their wake up from the other morning. That will fade.

What keeps me warm and comfortable however is that inner glow knowing that we beat the Hawks and are in the PF.

OOOOH SO WORTH IT....

Do the right thing Willo... and what that is up to you to determine.
All I will say is its tricky with kids at GF time... in 1995 my first daughter was born and by Sept getting tickets took a little bit of effort. We drove to Gipsland and camped in line at the local ticket agency. The local McDonalds warmed the bottle for us ..got tickets and nursed her at the game. In the end all for nought.

Im scouring international flights, double checking work schedules and trying to get enough credits back in the bank from the doghouse to see if a turn and burn trip is possible IF we get there...

But of course, every airline has jacked up the prices to double what Ive paid to come for home for XMAS flights ... campaigners....

Ok I dont have kids, let alone a new born. But if my partner seriously stopped me from going to a Grand Final- one freaken day of the year, well I pretty much wouldnt want to be with them, srs. I know I wouldnt stop them from going to/doing something that meant so much to them.

Relationships are complex beasts. Hopefully Mrs Willo_ is just making him earn it. Can't go letting him think he can do anything he wants whenever he wants. ;)

It's not like she would stop me going if the chance arose

Anyone in the situation knows that give and take is involved... lot of water to go under the bridge anyway first... and then there is the $$$ side of it to worry about

Eh nah I disagree a bit with that. I guess I'm happy to be one my own/do my own thing sometimes, don't need to be attached to my partner 24/7. (Am NOT talking about Willo here). And yeah like i said, if something is really important to the other person, they should be able to do it without protest. Works both ways tho of course!

Pretty excited about now that my 9-year wait to become an AFL member came through last year.

I get an amazing seat for the prelim for just $25, and if we make the GF, I get priority access to buy a seat and only have to pay $190 for the honour :thumbsu:

Wasn't serious Shell!

Yes you were

You know how it works:D
Haha!

In my experience it's all a bit of a game. We know that we are not going to stand in the way of each other doing what we want. But like hell we are going to make things easy! Where's the fun in that?

Sure thing, you went to every game in Victoria as a cheer squad member right?

You are talking to a bloke whose nick name is Stabby.
Personally, I would get him a ticket.:D
