Pretty sure it said they breached the TPP rules. That doesnt mean they breached the cap.

Clubs operate under the cap. If Geelong admin forgot to add in something as an error they could still be under the cap, they just missed something that should have been included.

AFL would've received the paperwork for 8 years as well, and even they didn't pick it up until Geelong brought it to their attention. Is that Geelong's fault as well?

The AFL don't get every journal entry showing every line, they get a summary report.
