That's not a bad draw for us in my opinion. The Doggies always start off the season slow and we get to beat... ooops I mean play the Carring Bush twice next season!! I would have liked us not to play Brisbane twice again next season, but I guess you can't have everything your own way, and we do finish the season at home which is good.

Go Cats!!

The draw ain't bad, though I am a tad annoyed that our home game against Collingwood isn't at the MCG. The Pies got the gate from our match at the G last year, and this year we were supposedly meant to get all the profits. Oh well, it happens I guess.

Eight out of 11 home games at Kardinia Park. Can't complain about that. :)

Not to mention on travels outside Victoria in the first six weeks as well.

No complaints about this schedule, at first glance. Seems quite favorable...

Cheers,
William

Well, I am really happy with our draw! Can't get much better than that. At last we have a favourable one! No Adelaide games!

Go Cats!!:)

I'm looking forward to these matches. We've never played the Roos in Caberra, but we did play them at the SCG in 1999. But we usually do pretty well in Sydney so I'm happy! :)

Someone, somewhere else on Big Footy pointed out that Geelong has the toughest draw in 2003, based on 2002, but I don't know.

We play Collingwood twice for the first time in a long time and we always seem to beat them, only 4 interstate trips (plus Manuka), isn't too bad when you consider we don't go to Adelaide, I much prefer playing at Subiaco rather than Football park.

Out of the the seven teams we play twice, we beat five of them last season, losing only to the Bulldogs and Brisbane.

It would have been nice if we could have, just for once, hosted 3 of the 'so-called' big 4, but then it would be too much to expect a fair draw in that regard.

At least we don't have to go to Adelaide.

Considering we've only ever won 2 games there (plus a draw) in our history, I'm not the slightest bit disappointed with not having to play at Football Park... ooops I mean AAMI Stadium!! :D

Go Cats!!

If people want to think that, then that's good. Because IMO we have a good draw and when we do well next year people will go: "Gee, they've done well with their tough draw!"

Im pretty happy with the draw, although I wanted to play in Adelaide once, coz i wanted to make a trip out it this year. But, you can't really complain! Playing Collingwood twice is great! And we also don't play Hawthorn twice which is also good. I am happy with playing all of St Kilda, Melbourne, Bulldogs, West Coast and Kangaroos twice.

I am disappointed with 5/8 being Sunday games at Skilled, merely from a personal point of view, I prefer Saturday games (perhaps I need to not leave study to Sundays ;)), I am also a bit funny with us having to play at Manuka, I like being able to abuse Scumbag in the flesh.

I guess it means that Brisbane are going to have three Brownlow medalists in a row? Im gonna put my money on Lappin this year ;) Hope he has a full season, but then again, I might have a selection of votes.. Voss, Acne, Black, Headland..... Luck Dip.

I think that next years draw is very much in our favor. I would prefer to go to Adelaide once, and WA once though. Since we have to go to WA twice we are in greater danger of injuries and playing poorly the week after (according to statistics)

The draw doesn't look too bad. But I have one request, can everybody please call the 'Telstra Dome' the Mil Hanna Dome from now on?

I'm not really pleased with the draw. 5 interstate trips again, every year it's either 5 or 6 trips interstate. To compensate for not going to Adelaide we have to make another trip to Perth and a trip to Canberra.

2 games against our bitches (Collingwood) is a positive.

Loz, I'll abuse Colbert an extra little bit for you in Canberra, because at this stage I'll make the trip up but it's a long way off so I might end up staying at home.

We have 13 days to recover from the trip to Subiaco before playing Essendon.

This could be a tough month.
I'm not keen on the idea of two interstate trips in a row.

Good points Harry. It is a timely break for us.

Already spoken about this with a friend, but do you guys think we will split the money with Collingwood for our 2 games next year? Because they play at the G for their home game. I shouldn't see why not.

Thanks Joel :D I expect you do a lot of mouthing off ;) I will bag him telepathically.

The only complaints I have are the two interstate games in a row & only 5 night games. But other than that it's really good! :)

Go Cats!!:)

Come to think of it... that game in Canberra falls on the weekend of Jen's birthday. We've already talked about this-- and although it's a long way off yet (as is the season itself), perhaps, just perhaps....

ROAD TRIP!!

Could be in the offing, we'll just wait and see. :)

Cheers,
William
