Nobody’s saying no to the role. He can do what he likes and so can the sponsor.
But if it’s a club sponsor the payments go in the salary cap. It’s such an obvious loophole for abuse that all clubs will attempt.
Shhhhhhhhh. Geelong, Geelong, Geelong! All clubs do, and have been for years, it's nothing new.
Collingwood superstar Nick Daicos is set to cash-in on his extraordinary off-field earning potential as one of the most marketable figures in the game.
The Herald Sun can reveal footwear giant Nike has recently locked away Daicos to one of the most lucrative long-term boot deals in the competition.
The new five-figure contract underlines Daicos’ path to become one of the top earners in the game off the field with the Collingwood father-son jet on track to rival and potentially eclipse Western Bulldogs’ Bailey Smith, Richmond’s Dustin Martin, Sydney Swans’ champion Lance Franklin, Carlton’s Charlie Curnow and Melbourne’s Christian Petracca.

I'm probably more shocked that it is only 5 figures
Examples?
The pick 7 with Bowes was a complete rort, Gold Coast had I think 23,25 they could have traded him with, or traded 7 for 16 f1 and have had 6 or so clubs queuing up to get Bowes,16 in the door, especially with the salary cap going up.
I feel like that trade wasn't a Geelong thing. They offered pick 7 with him.as a start point to everyone and he picked geelongThe pick 7 with Bowes was a complete rort, Gold Coast had I think 23,25 they could have traded him with, or traded 7 for 16 f1 and have had 6 or so clubs queuing up to get Bowes,16 in the door, especially with the salary cap going up.
Same elite training facilities and solariums as Hurley pubs and homes in Henley Beach and Grange.Yeah & apparently Morris (Money Bags) and Co have elite training facilities.. and a solarium!
Afl should have not allowed it, also fixed the points curve earlier which would have meant gold coast wouldn't have given away pick 7.
It was a rort.
I am one of those people that watches both gws and swans games, I admit some rorts have gone in our favour, especially the Swans.
It most definitely wasn't a Geelong thing.I feel like that trade wasn't a Geelong thing. They offered pick 7 with him.as a start point to everyone and he picked geelong
They burley'd up the water with scotch fillet steakIt most definitely wasn't a Geelong thing.

From 22/9/2022 - "GOLD Coast is set to dangle pick No.7 as the draft sweetener for clubs vying to take on Jack Bowes and the two remaining years on his contract.
... It means clubs such as Hawthorn, St Kilda, Geelong and Essendon, who have all shown interest in Bowes, would also be in line to land the extra draft capital as part of the deal to take the versatile Sun's contract off their books."
