Geelong- the dark horse?

On the ladder predictor I've been playing with, I can't get Geelong higher than 5th without tipping wildly improbably combinations of results. I did have Essendon finish 9th, though.

Likewise. Have Cats finishing 5th by % from Sydney (Also bombers 9th) playing the Blues first week. Funnily enough have Cats/Hawks GF.

Cats are still not guaranteed a top 8 spot with the Roos, Saints, Freo breathing down their necks. If they lose next week and the Roos and Freo win then they could find them selves out of the 8...

None of the above. Didn't see a football team play well enough across 4 quarters at home, in favourable circumstances, to be called a dark horse for the premiership either.
Yet it was still enough to beat the 1st placed team.

I'll take that. No one cares if you "saw a dark horse" or not anyway, your judgement being clouded by your b*utthurt

If that was to happen, we'd have to rely on Essendon losing v Adelaide next week to stay in. Which almost certainly will happen

At best, we could be 5th if we win and WC lose next week

At worst, we could be 8th (or 9th if the Bombers win) if we lose and North win next week

Hello 8th spot

West Coast are at risk of missing out in the eight if they dont be carefull....But in regards to the Cats yes they are a dark horse and i hate playing them no matter where we are on the ladder...

Hello 8th spot

If you posted anything, I can't see it.

Or am I just dumb

Stupid iPad... :(

We have played plenty of stinking footy at 'home' this year. Not sure how favourable it was that our most creative player SJ lasted 5 seconds or that Corey missed a fair chunk of the game after being BOG to that point.

Bartel and Selwood were also well held. And we beat a side 2nd by % only before this round.

There is this stupid assumption going around the AFL that Geelong are cooked.

They've had a hard training schedule and they are starting to get players back at crucial times. With a good draw, they should romp it home and shake the finals series.

Good call

Cats just one game and percentage out of the top four, could sneak in by the end of the year.
Both Collingwood and the Hawks have games against Sydney in Sydney and West Coast Hawks at the G to go.

True but they also have West Coast in Perth and Sydney at home
