not a fan of 2021 Higgins, so far, but maybe his smarts and his work at training elevates him in the eyes of the MC.

Looking at the stats... I wonder what Narkles non selection is based on. Less TOG and his stats hold up well.

There is 22 players just been put ahead of narkle. Not 4. Including menegola, Higgins, dalhaus, atkins whose form isn’t near narkles. oconnor has also not played as well as narkle has in the midfield and hasn’t played in 6 weeks.

Umm, not even Narkle would think he could take the role of 22 other players/positions, minus your examples.
He just has to hope for a weak link, in a suitable position, and that's Menegola.
Whatever, the outrage is not worth what Scott has dubbed unlucky.

This. Four midfielders in, one tagger, one inside, one outside, one utility - all offer more than Narkle. So then people seem to want to play Narkle out of position. He isn't a swap for Menegola (wing/hf), and isn't a better option than our small forwards or backs - so we would have had to pick him as a mid rotating from the bench. In which case we may as well pick him as the injury sub.

No conspiracy theory. No hard luck story. Just common sense.
