We've kinda done similar in the past with guys who've been late ins - giving them every chance to be right and they'll come in rather than omit late if they don't come up

And this is another reason I don't mind the teams being announced 24 hours out because it means of you're playing on Sunday, then you're giving players until at least Saturday to show they're right to go, fit etc rather than having to guess on a Thursday night

Don’t mind esava in the ruck per se. I think he could have a future there.

But reeks of desperation a little. Hasn’t played there at all in the vfl. Late change etc.

Plus Scott said a couple of weeks ago that he wants esava to have a long run in and that they’re not going to rush him back when he’s not ready? Yet he hasn’t even played consecutive VFL games and now he’s playing as first ruck in the ones?
