Lol. That’s some Lionel Hutz level “proof” right there.
Good for you
Oh the old if you beat us by a little bit it counts but if you absolutely destroy us then it doesnt count logic. Smart folks are tiger fans.Ablett was an unbelievably dangerous player in one-sided home and away games.
Let's face it Cleanie, we have to admit when we are beaten. Dusty would give his 3 Norms, 3 Garys, 3 flags and his proverbial left nut to be an unbelievably dangerous player in meaningless home and away games.

Hard to destroy you in finals if you dont actually get there. Except ofcourse you did get there once and was one step from a grand final before geelong with an old ablett (much older then martin today who is already years past it) playing injured on one leg pantsed you again. Remember all the richmond jumper flag waving in the first qtr. some ablett one hander specials and a hop skip speccy in the wet off his one leg sealed the result in the 2nd qtr.
It depends on where he is playing. If Dusty is starting at centre bounces and playing around the stoppages, then yes its from the midfield. If he has transitions forward and is starting in the forward line from a ball up or transitions out of the midfield and goes down and plays out of the forward line, he's playing "from the forwardline" and yes Short is kicking goals from the backline.. is that hard to comprehend? Thought that was common parlance. So when Dusty is named in the mid. Is he kicking goals “from the midfield”?
Same with Short is he slotting magnificent goals “from the backline”?
GAS kicked most of them from the goal square/20m out. Gimme a break “from the wing”
He was most often your deepest player. That is not on the wing.
Commentators say this literally every week. In fact i'm surprised you haven't seen it with Richmond as they are a common one to have this said. "The Richmond forward line is looking light this week, so they'll really need the midfield to step up and kick goals from the midfield". I can hear King saying it right now. Melbourne are another common one "they really need goals from the midfield this week, Petracca and Oliver need to be more damaging".Nope I’ve proven it. You didn’t have the spine to answer my question and just ignored did. You just did a smartass remark out the word checkmate.
I’ll ask again have you ever heard a commentator say “WOW WHAT AN AMAZING GOAL FROM THE MIDFIELD/BACKLINE”?
No, no you haven’t. Checkmate again.
You think it’s bizzare because you are from the church of Ablett. The loser GOAT, that’s what’s bizzare.
Now I’m just going to wait for a laugh emoji followed by a smartass remark then ignore my question like normal.

No one agrees with you, so you're responsible for proving evidence to the contrary. You are well and truly alone on this.Midfield or midfielders?
Petracca like Dusty can rotate forward and kick goals. When he does this it’s not a goal “from the midfield”
Anyway find me a quote of what I said earlier. I want to hear a commentator say what an amazing goal from the backline. Should be easy to find.
Firstly, this debate whether he got 14 from the wing was debated before I was even born.No one agrees with you, so you're responsible for proving evidence to the contrary. You are well and truly alone on this.
I don't have the time to go back through game footage. But next time I see one i'll be sure to point it in your direction.
This whole rivalry started with the rule changes and the state of the game paltering.
Yes,I was overly concerned about the state of the game watching that magnificent Tigers team full of superstars play fantastic football which noone could challenge.
Is goal 2 from the Wing? Yes or No?
Firstly, this debate whether he got 14 from the wing was debated before I was even born.
Secondly you not being able to answer my question (because you know I’m right) doesn’t mean I haven’t proved evidence.
Regardless of my opinion if you don’t believe goal 2 is on the wing. That immediately debunks 14 from the wing down to 13. The end.
He sat there like a potato 20m out, then dribbled it in for a goal 10m out. That’s not on the wing and everybody including you knows it.
Its 1-0 geelongs way in finals where ablett played. You cant just suddenly change the topic.Dude it’s 11-2 in finals our way.
Maybe instead of making up the numbers try and actually win the finals. We are getting bored
20 people have tried to explain this to you.
I’m gobsmacked you can’t understand such a simple concept.
It has now reached the hilarious stage.
Show me that map of the ground again.
Its 1-0 geelongs way in finals where ablett played. You cant just suddenly change the topic.
For the first 7 of those he goes back and lines up on the wing. Sure he doesn't play there much after the centre bounce, and did not play like a wingman, but he started there. Bit like Dusty playing midfield, doesn't go back and goes where he likes.
Is goal 2 on the wing or not?
Can any Geelong supporter answer this question? Or are you all spineless because you know the answer?
You clearly don't know Falcon. Its 1-0 geelongs way in finals where ablett played. You cant just suddenly change the topic.
Of course they were also just highlights of his goals, he may have played more up the ground at times, won't know unless there's a full replay. But generally he went to the dangerous spot 30-40m out, more like a half forward perhaps. Sort of moot point. The point is, he could play anywhere and was still the best player in the game.Thing is Dusty will go and stand ahead of the ball, sometimes in the hotspot but mainly around half forward.
After each centre bounce Seven was running mainly straight to the hotspot, even leading out from there on several occasions. That is playing as a forward, starting on a wing to confuse the opposition. Which in those days v Richmond wasn't too tough.
NOBODY thinks his goals were 80-90 metre bombs “from the wing”.
Do you REALLY think that’s what people mean?
Can I ask how it feels to be a laughing stock?I wish we played him more. Was a shocking finals player bar 1 season.
My grandmother could’ve done better in the 94 & 95 GFs
Can I ask how it feels to be a laughing stock?
Like is it good to at least get a bit of attention or is it a bit of a slog to get through?
You have my pity.
It is less impressive. He was basically a forward sitting in the hotspot without an opponent. No they don’t. Hence why I think it’s just to spice it up.
Why else would they say “from the wing”? The whole point is to make it sound more impressive.
Fact is he was no different to somebody like Hawkins sitting 20m out from the goal square. It’s the exact same kick. It’s not more impressive. He moved forward mid game and kicked those goals as a FORWARD from the FORWARD LINE.
