Who are the many others?

Who rigged the system and how?

If Dusty, or any others from your "dynasty" teams have a son we can assume you will be happy for them to go into the national draft with no father son opportunity? Am I right?

We will get them fairly by bidding. Not getting them for picks in the 40s. It’s so cooked that it is embarrassing that you didn’t make a dynasty from it. You never will if you couldn’t get it done with those 3 teams.

Getting like a 3rd of your 07,09,11 teams for a packet of chips is what made you successful.

You are just to proud to realise it. Or just don’t care. They literally changed the rules because of you.

Google the rest of the f/s picks.
I know who the other father sons were, but do you? Obviously not.

We could bemoan the fact that Richmond was shit for so long and therefore managed to snare priority draft picks and top 10 picks year after year. Same difference, and you are just TOO proud to realise it

List them. You know more than me apparently. I’ll check so it’s legit.

So far we have

GAJ
Scarlett
Hawkins

Who else?

Father son selections.

Matthew Scarlett: rated a lowish prospect

Gary Ablett: rated a mediocre prospect

Nathan Ablett: actually rated as a good prospect who ironically had the least input into any of our success

Tom Hawkins: rated highly

That’s four players, none of whom ever played in a premiership team together. Now, far be it from me to question your mathematics wizardry given all the other intellectual powerhouse efforts you’ve furnished us with over the last few years, but it seems to me that you have grossly over-estimated the value of 4 players as it relates to a fraction of 22, let alone 3.

4 out of 22 is less than 1/5.

Which would not be accurate anyway as they never played in a premiership together.

3/22 is less than 1/7.

Which is less than half of a third.

So the claim that we got ‘like a third of your 07, 09, 11 teams for a packet of chips’ - well, it isn’t - it just isn’t true, is it?

As for our other players in those teams…..

Well considering we’ve not had a draft pick higher than pick 7 in 34 years, so I am not exactly sure who you’re referring to, old boy?

Up until your 2022 as well.

1/3 of your premiership core. Was from that.

Those players would’ve been even rated higher but recruiters didn’t bother cause they knew you’d get them anyway. So your explanation doesn’t wash.

On top of that the draft capital you saved was used to draft other players you wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise.

So yes. 1/4 or 1/3 of your premierships teams would’ve been acquired due to f/s picks.

Then End.

Sorry what? Oh it’s core now….. oh ok.

Sorry but that’s not how it works.
If it was, they would have changed the rules after we picked up Ablett or Scarlett and THEY hadn’t achieved anything, rather than after we drafted Hawkins and HE hadn’t achieved anything.

Your logic is so dumb it beggars belief that you have access to electronic devices at times.

The funniest part about all of this is that your own club got an even better key forward than Hawkins without shelling out so much as a single draft pick on him, under the father son rule, but because you were so incredibly dogshit, he got to play 3 finals while Hawkins played 32

Gary Ablett Jr didn’t make his TAC Cup team of the year nor the 2001 national carnival team of the year….. and that national team of the year didn’t include Chris Judd or Luke Hodge who both missed the carnival injured but still ended up at the top end of the draft

But apparently he would have been first picked if he didn’t get picked as a father son…..

This gets better and better

Honestly dude you don’t get it. The draft capital saved was used to recruit other players on top of getting those player cheaper.

Are you this thick like really?

Here is an article about f/s picks.

Surprise surprise Geelong is mentioned and literally says it helped you win 2 flags. Nobody believes you guys.

We didn’t save draft capital you clown 😂😂

If we don’t need to use a high draft pick on someone because - wait for it - no one wants them, it means we would still get the players we ended up taking anyway. And guess what? All four of the other players we selected in that draft before him? They were all players that when the 5 of them rocked up to their first pre-season, were expected to be better than him. The same would have applied had they gone anywhere else.

We still had to use a selection on him - unlike you guys with Richardson, by the way.

You’re so wrapped up in making excuses - ironic for someone so conditioned to calling other people losers - that you can’t see what is right in front of you.

Of course we are. We’ve had three of the greatest of all time. Doesn’t change anything that’s been presented to you or the fact that you have been a complete sook about it and can’t wrap your head around basic facts.

If your club had been half decent at developing any of the 7-8 you had during the same period maybe they’d have had more success too.

So Hawkins expected top 5 pick that you got for 41 didn’t save draft capital. 🤡

That’s like get a free player. It’s disgusting.

It’s also not even taking into account the recruiters would’ve valuable those players higher in the draft if they were getting.

Geelong gets freebies everywhere. Now you don’t, and now you are going to flounder. Just watch. It’s starts now since Hawkins is gone.

I know I couldn't believe Richmond got Tom Lynch for free. At least Geelong had to pay for Hawkins. Disgusting

And Castanga got more flags than both Abletts combined and Pickett got 1 in his first game, and second in 20 games. That is true. We win again.
Apparently 3 is more than 3

So is Jason Castagna a better player than Matthew Richardson?

Oh so now you’re back to Hawkins.

Of course we did with him. When has that ever been disputed.

He didn’t help us build the core of 07-09-11 did he. He played a peripheral role in 09 in the grand final and a huge role in the GF of 11 but he didn’t help build the core of the team. The only bow you could draw is that he helped us get Selwood who was a bigger co contributor to either of those flags.

Either way, it’s still a tremendous amount of excuses you’re making for a team simply operating under the same parameters as every other club.

Again, you still can’t address why your club were allowed to operate under the same ones and achieved nothing, and got your own best player of the era under even less looser restrictions.

Ablett got 2 flags and GAS got 0 you idiot. He wasn’t at Geelong for 11

Phatboy liking that comment that’s wrong proves you guys are just a cult and don’t know wtf you are on about most of the time.

No, a cult is whinging 17 years after the event that a team drafting someone under the same rules that your team drafted half a dozen of their own father son players under, was somehow unfair, and expecting other people to agree with you.

It’s labelling our key forward - who we had to use a draft pick on - as unfair when your greatest forward of the last half century, perhaps ever, was a father-son pick….. that didn’t even require a draft-selection.
