Who are the many others?
Who rigged the system and how?
If Dusty, or any others from your "dynasty" teams have a son we can assume you will be happy for them to go into the national draft with no father son opportunity? Am I right?
I know who the other father sons were, but do you? Obviously not.Getting like a 3rd of your 07,09,11 teams for a packet of chips is what made you successful.
You are just to proud to realise it. Or just don’t care. They literally changed the rules because of you.
Google the rest of the f/s picks.

We could bemoan the fact that Richmond was shit for so long and therefore managed to snare priority draft picks and top 10 picks year after year. Same difference, and you are just TOO proud to realise it

List them. You know more than me apparently. I’ll check so it’s legit.
So far we have
GAJ
Scarlett
Hawkins
Who else?
Father son selections.
Matthew Scarlett: rated a lowish prospect
Gary Ablett: rated a mediocre prospect
Nathan Ablett: actually rated as a good prospect who ironically had the least input into any of our success
Tom Hawkins: rated highly
That’s four players, none of whom ever played in a premiership team together. Now, far be it from me to question your mathematics wizardry given all the other intellectual powerhouse efforts you’ve furnished us with over the last few years, but it seems to me that you have grossly over-estimated the value of 4 players as it relates to a fraction of 22, let alone 3.
4 out of 22 is less than 1/5.
Which would not be accurate anyway as they never played in a premiership together.
3/22 is less than 1/7.
Which is less than half of a third.
So the claim that we got ‘like a third of your 07, 09, 11 teams for a packet of chips’ - well, it isn’t - it just isn’t true, is it?
As for our other players in those teams…..
Well considering we’ve not had a draft pick higher than pick 7 in 34 years, so I am not exactly sure who you’re referring to, old boy?
Up until your 2022 as well.
1/3 of your premiership core. Was from that.
Those players would’ve been even rated higher but recruiters didn’t bother cause they knew you’d get them anyway. So your explanation doesn’t wash
Gary Ablett Jr didn’t make his TAC Cup team of the year nor the 2001 national carnival team of the year….. and that national team of the year didn’t include Chris Judd or Luke Hodge who both missed the carnival injured but still ended up at the top end of the draft
But apparently he would have been first picked if he didn’t get picked as a father son…..
This gets better and better
Honestly dude you don’t get it. The draft capital saved was used to recruit other players on top of getting those player cheaper.
Are you this thick like really?
Here is an article about f/s picks.
Surprise surprise Geelong is mentioned.
Inside the father-son rule: How genetics have changed the AFL draft
On Wednesday and Thursday, teenagers with names familiar to older footy heads will arrive in the AFL via the father-son rule in the national draft. But does this recruitment technique give clubs a competitive advantage over others?www.abc.net.au
We didn’t save draft capital you clown
If we don’t need to use a high draft pick on someone because - wait for it - no one wants them, it means we would still get the players we ended up taking anyway. And guess what? All four of the other players we selected in that draft before him? They were all players that when the 5 of them rocked up to their first pre-season, were expected to be better than him. The same would have applied had they gone anywhere else.
We still had to use a selection on him - unlike you guys with Richardson, by the way.
You’re so wrapped up in making excuses - ironic for someone so conditioned to calling other people losers - that you can’t see what is right in front of you.
I know I couldn't believe Richmond got Tom Lynch for free. At least Geelong had to pay for Hawkins. DisgustingSo Hawkins expected top 5 pick that you got for 41 didn’t save draft capital.
That’s like get a free player. It’s disgusting.

Hawkins did have 5 times the career Lynch has had, that is trueNow times that by 5 and that’s what Geelong got.

It’s also not even taking into account the recruiters would’ve valuable those players higher in the draft if they were getting.
Geelong gets freebies everywhere. Now you don’t, and now you are going to flounder. Just watch. It’s starts now since Hawkins is gone.
Apparently 3 is more than 3
