Did a great job of blocking in the centre as well. Lets face it, he's no Hocking. Still makes dumb decisions.

Offer up someone more deserving.
Hocking is a bull. Melksham tagging actually allows Hocking to run free and be effective for us. Made a few dumb decisions today, but so did everybody

Okay, who? People say Jetta. He was horrible today, Melksham clearly ahead. The other one offered up is Kavanagh. His only game in seniors this year was playing in the forward pocket. Tells me he's not got the tank. You say "offer up someone more deserving" then you should say who's more deserving

I agree Jetta is out. Kavanagh played VFL so can't be dropped...

I would go

In: Winderlich, Fletch, Carlisle, Ryder, Heppell, Hurley.
Out: Stanton (inj), Pears, Hille, Jetta, Hardingham, Merrett/Melksham

Merrett is a smarter player than Melksham. I doubt that Melksham has learned anything after being dropped for one game. I feel he only made his way in due to resting/injuries.

See, I would contend that he got rested for ANZAC Day after the short turnaround, and immediately resumed his place in the seniors. Melksham was comfortably in our top 10 against the Giants

Oh man this is going to be huge.

IN: Ryder Hurley Fletcher Heppell Carlisle Winderlich
OUT: Stanton Hille Pears Hardingham Jetta ???

FB: Baguely - Hooker - Fletcher
HB: Dempsey - Carlisle - Hibberd
C: Heppell - Howlett - Goddard
HF: Zaharakis - Gumbleton - Davey
FF: Crameri - Hurley - Winderlich
FOLL: Ryder - Watson - Hocking

INT: Bellchambers - Myers - Merrett - Kommer - Melksham

Last out is hard. To get back to the structure they had in the first few games, it would see Gumbleton go out. I tend to agree with the structure, but I don't want to drop Gumbleton.
Can you have all of Merrett, Kommer, Winderlich and Davey in the same side?

Will be interesting selection.

Only if one of them/Crameri/Gumbleton plays on a wing. Merrett needs a rest IMO, started well but faded late in the game

Ins: Winderlich, Ryder, Hurley, Fletcher, Carlisle, Heppell, Daniher, Kavanagh, Gleeson
Outs: Stanton(inj), Hille, Pears, Hardingham, Hooker, Merret, Jetta, Melksham, Kommer

This obviously won't happen but hey would be stoked if it did. Chris Scott will have his mind blown. Crameri in at the centre bounce ;)

B: Fletcher Carlisle Baguley
HB: Hibberd Hurley Dempsey
C: Heppell Watson Goddard
HF: Gleeson Gumbleton Davey
F: Winderlich Daniher Ryder
R: Bellchambers Crameri Hocking

Bench: Zaharakis, Myers, Howlett
Sub: Kavanagh

FB:Baguely, Carlisle, Hardingham
HB:Dempsey, Hooker, Hibberd
C:Goddard, Watson, Zaharakis
HF:Crameri, Hurley, Winderlich
FF:Davey, Gumbleton, Bellchambers
R:Ryder, Hocking, Howlett
I/C:Myers, Melksham, Merrett
Sub:Fletcher

This is the best team.
We shouldn't go too tall down back. We need the small/medium defenders to contain the likes of Stokes, Christensen, Motlop and co.
We could possibly stretch or break even playing tall in the forward line.
Our midfield looks good too and the boys would need a complete 4 quarter effort. Bring in Kavanagh for Merrett if necessary.

I find changing the side to much at once never works to well

Keep Hardingham, Dempsey, Hibberd and Baggers for geelongs smalls
Carlisle on Hawkins, Hooker on Pods

In: Ryder, Hurley, Licka, Carlisle

Out: Hille, Pears, Merret [unlucky], Jetta or Melksham

Sub: Gumbleton or Hurley or Crameri? how would that work you think? a Fresh Power Forward

if Carlisle isnt up Fletcher in

Stanton should be alright to go Hird reckons was just tight in the groin

I really don't like that we are bringing in 6 players next week.
Some should have been eased back in this week.
If we did actually rest players it was a terrible call as it's round 6 and we nearly got rolled by a team in its second season.

I'm going to tip Essendon because I always do, but have a strong feeling we will get beaten heavily.

Fletcher in for Hardingham.
Ryder in for Hille.
Heppell in for Jetta
Hurley in for Pears
Winderlich in for Melksham

Anyway. Going to have some good ins. Went to the Geelong game after the GWS match today, had a look.

Their pressure inside defensive 50 is something we need to be wary of. Skills need to be sharp. None of this cutesy shit that we pulled today. Bring it on.

Gumby's reasonable form means one of Carlisle and Fletcher doesn't need to be rushed back. Play Hurley back this week and drop Pears, who never takes the opposition no.1 forward again.

FB:Baguely, Carlisle, Fletcher

C:Goddard, Watson, Zaharakis
HF:Crameri, Hurley, Winderlich
FF:Davey, Gumbleton, Bellchambers

I/C:Myers, Melksham, Heppell
Sub:Hams (will be Kommer or Merrett but I'd go hams)

if we're getting an axe swing and a selection shock, it won't be joe, nor NOB or Gleeson or Kav.

However, the one that has to be in the mix this week is Will Hams, i thought he was brilliant in the twos where too much was left to too few. He's relentless on the ball, his run and spread and chase will be important against the cats and he does have a defensive side to his game.

Could theoretically play forward, back or through the midfield although I'd have him as the sub.

If carlisle doesn't come up the pears stays and plays on pods.
Fletcher will hopefully be able to sag off West/Blitz.

Pig/Baugley will have a tough time with motlop and stokes (christensen plays more midfield).

Melksham to follow bartel around, we can't have him floating around going at 100% DE and kicking 2-3 goals.

The boys will get a rocket this week, we are right in this.

In: Winderlich, Fletch, Carlisle, Ryder, Heppell, Hurley
Out: Kommer, Pears, Hille, Melksham, Jetta, Stanton (inj),

Considering the form of both sides yesterday we are going to get embarrassed on Friday Night.

Won't be a great look either considering it will coincide with ASADA interviews this week. The media will be all over it.

We don't play on yesterday's form, we play with nexts weeks.

ANZAC day is as relevant as GWS. On the season so far we will be very competitive and possibly win.
