So we had the game won until Clarko took the ball for the last over. Nth needed 17 off the last over and still needed 10 with two balls to go. Got them with a ball to spare. Who let that little dwarf bowl?

The anti-Hawk bias on afl.com.au has become increasingly obvious. They always spin any Hawthorn related story with a negative headline or photo, or both. Not much different to their"Best Grand Final," and "Best Finals Game." I have been saying for a long time that the AFL don't like Hawthorn, who should be a minnow, being the most powerful club in the competition, and they have an agenda to turn fans against us. Well, eat sh1t Gil and Co., we are coming back stronger in 2017.

Meanwhile I'd put my house on a bare minimum one favorable story for each NSW franchise appearing each & every week. Whenever they run a story featuring all 18 teams (ie. ranking each club's strengths) there will ALWAYS be at least one photo of GWS or Sydney players too. Their agenda sickens me.
I see no need for a tinfoil hat Thaihawk. The AFL hates Hawthorn - as evidence by the brutal fixtures we are handed every year. The AFL operates afl.com.au.Thanks for seeing it this way ACA. Previously, when I have raised this bias against Hawthorn I have been told I should remove my tin foil hat. The AFL don't like us so powerful, and at the top of the tree; that should be reserved for their franchise clubs, or the big 4 Victorian clubs.

No doubt the AFL would prefer to see GWS & Sydney succeed over any Victorian club, but there's no doubt in my mind they have a strict pecking order of Victorian teams they'd prefer to see near the pointy end of the ladder. The supposed "big 4" are taken care of by the league in a way Hawthorn are not.The AFL don't hate us. They just prefer the frontier expansion sides to win, but that's not just against Hawthorn, that's against EVERY traditional Victorian team
Our draw was fine last year. The club was quite happy with it.
People see what they want to see. Apparently, they hate Hawthorn so much, they didn't even report Ken Judge's death, just to spite us... we need to get real here

The AFL's agenda is to promote the northern clubs, yet in the last grand final, the $wans were crucified by the AFL umpires. May be they didn't get the memo.
There was plenty for the AFL to gain from having the Dogs win the flag. The AFL's agenda is to promote the northern clubs, yet in the last grand final, the $wans were crucified by the AFL umpires. May be they didn't get the memo.
so maybe the umpires did get the memo. LOLThere was plenty for the AFL to gain from having the Dogs win the flag.
1. It justifies the current finals system by showing everyone that the teams who finish 7th/8th are still in with a shot.
2. It justifies the AFLs "equalisation" measures by having a previously weak basket case side rise up.
3. It reignites the supporters passion for the game at the other historically (past ~30 years) struggling clubs like St Kilda, Melbourne, North Melbourne, Fremantle, Port Adelaide and Richmond. Gives them hope that their club can do it too. All translates to increases in viewers and sales.
Plus, after having Hawthorn, Geelong and Sydney dominate the past decade with 9 out of the last 11 premierships going their way, and the other 2 going to financial powerhouses West Coast and Collingwood, the AFL were probably quite desperate to see a team like the Western Bulldogs grab the flag. Yeah they'll be keen to see GWS win a flag but that's probably going to happen within the next 5 years anyway.
Either that or he's a year away from earning $650k+ & isn't too worried about the membership fees...8 Hawks players have just signed up to become members of Huntingdale Golf club including Breust. Don't see him heading interstate
